  1. Apparently it is being streamed on Facebook, but don't ask me where. Sooooo what are the predictions for men's elite... Lots of pressure to try drop the sprinty bois?
  2. So many lumos
  3. The one time the guy called me and said he has a special set of skills... to find who reported him. Was a bit scary.
  4. Important things to consider: Price Frame size (which actually fits you better... check geometry geeks) Wheels (and tyres... if the one has GP5000 and the other has gatorskins that is a big watt saving) Groupset (10 or 11 speed?) Components (carbon bars, seatpost, nice saddle... It all adds up)
  5. I bought an SWORKS Shiv, unseen, before Bikehub pay. What an adrenalin rush.
  6. This is the beauty of Bikehub pay... No more worrying about scammers.
  7. go vegan
  8. And by opinion you mean drop bars
  9. Hoping for fully inflated tyres!
  10. I am 178 and ride a 54 or 52 depending on the frame. I am currently on a 52 canyon which is quite an aggressive (read: uncomfortable if I don't keep up my core work) fit
  11. I think the aerosol job ruined the frame, this is much more tasteful. Looks a bit EF inspired!
  12. In an ideal world you would probably test everyone, but I guess they are cost-minimizing in assuming that the vaccine will reduce the chance of positive vaccinated people, and incentivizing vaccination as the chances of contracting COVID after the vaccine (from the race) are significantly lower (and the severity of the cases lower).
  13. Unfortunately we are full.
  14. PCH UCT and Random ladies who are nuts strong
  15. Sounds like you are the competition for us then... Our mixed team is STACKED this year. Some of the ladies will be dropping the men I reckon.
  16. Yes I am stoked with this. The last thing I want is to get COVID again, I have been vaccinated because regardless of what I believe about vaccines it is the responsible thing to do, just looking at the statistics. Testing non-vaccinated individuals ensures that the majority of COVID positive individuals don't do the race... When I was at my theoretical "contagious" stage I managed a 6 hour ride fine. Unfortunately you can never be guaranteed a ride but your entry is now a sunk cost and this seems like the only way they could get the race to successfully go ahead.

  18. Don't forget to slam your stem while you are at it
  19. I am so impressed by Kasia, she was involved in so many of the moves in the last 30km... Attacking, closing down, and bridging. And then taking bronze in the end too!
  20. Yesterday we did 3/7 passes and came home on N2 tar from Knysna. Gravel 1: 0 Dual Sus Today we did Simola, Gouna to pimple, Diepwalle, and back to Knysna. Gravel bike had a slow puncture and was very bumpy over descents with corrugations and potholes and slow through loose stone. I had to call it a day as we ran out of bombs and my tubeless wasn't sealing then punctured a tube. Gravel 1: 1 Dual sus
  21. vaxed, waxed, and ready to chase some attacks
  22. This gravel traveler would not really want to do that ????
  23. I was saying this morning that I love my gravel bike most on roads that would be manageable but uncomfortable on a road bike. I also love it for training in CT if I want to make a group ride a bit harder or turn my usual afternoon loop into something that takes a few minutes more, and to ride a bike with a proper granny gear and not 39-28 when I am doing a chilled ride. It is also lekker for Knysna where I don't want to ride my roadie on the N2 and I also don't want to invest in a nice mtb. It is a weapon for some KOM hunting.
  24. Do you have a spare bedroom for me next year ????
