Arrived just in time for this afternoon’s trails session.
I like the skateboard styling but with proppeh protection for gnarly trails or wet rides (the tongue is also fully gusseted, said the actress to the bishop…).

… and I’m convinced I can, and do, stop even quicker-shorter on my mtb knobblies on tar. There are a few descent spots, on routes or on my way to the trails a few blocks away, where I’m able to go near 70 (yes overtaking cars occasionally) and have had to brake rapidly.

Still have a room setup with turntables, mixers and eclectic vinyl collection for those few times a year that friends come over. Thanks for the idea, I haven’t celebrated my bday for years really (a bit reclusive and a lot skint until recently) and have one coming up. Will mostdef have friends and the fam over for vinyl fun. Again, thanks for sparking the idea.

Extraeffingextraordinary achievement, I didn’t know that and no doubt the mates who watch footie with me will be intrigued.

Congrats!
An interesting randonneur interpretation from last week’s MADE edition in Portland, Oregon.

Ain’t in the least surprised at Andrew Tate’s expression. This arrogant oke was stoooopid to think he’d get away with all his alleged rapes and human trafficking (the evidence of which he posted on porn sites) and all the extreme misogyny videos he put online. Even worse is that so many millions of teen boys and men were fans of his expressed violence towards ALL females. Every female at every age must be forced to submit to whatever males want he says. Thankfully, my daughters are strong and independent and my likewise son knows better than to fall for this guy’s despicable k@k.
Sê ma’ net. That the meme has his image is inadvertent, I guess.

I need to include SA military books into my library.
Thoroughly enjoy his novels. Well written. Great storylines and even though my CT days are limited to my studies and frequently visiting my children and friends, I know and can visualise EVERY setting (even the church garden where a body is found in central CT) while reading.

Hah!!! Of course they do. The same place that also hosts the World Air Guitar Championships, the World Wife Carrying Championships, and practices tinanvalanta. The widespread practice of melting tin then tossing it into a bucket of cold water as the resulting shape will predict your future, of course.

The age does make a difference in the value, some people might think or have been told wrong but alot know it's worth more if it's newer and just ly 🤥
How’s my luck, had the contrary happen. Bought a much better specced 2021 bike on here that was advertised as a 2020 version. Even after I pointed it out, seller still agreed to some off his price. Booooonus!

Hah! For sure. Hilarious that the doc’s evidence amounted to “That guy over there can’t get a boner”!?
(Edit: I should have added that said guy then angrily testified “LIES!” and, by all accounts, stormed out.)
Most considerate of the doc though, his interest in his colleague’s boners.
"In a seismic ruling that will send shockwaves through the sport, the medic was found to have taken possession of a prohibited substance and to have subsequently lied twice to anti-doping investigators.
Freeman who worked closely with Sir Bradley Wiggins when he became the first Brit to win the Tour de France in 2012 and followed it up with Olympic gold, was the team physician in London and Rio four years later.
His punishment marks the first time anyone associated with the staggering success story written in the Manchester velodrome HQ, where he and both British Cycling and Team Sky were based, and masterminded by Sir Dave Brailsford.
In 2021, after a long-running medical tribunal that, at times, bordered on the farcical, Freeman was struck off having been found to have ordered 30 sachets of banned testosterone ‘knowing or believing it to be for an unnamed rider in May 2011 to improve their athletic performance’ to the Velodrome from a supplier in Oldham.
He was also found to have instigated a staggering cover up, in which he persuaded an unwitting member of staff at the company to send an email wrongly stating that the Testogel sachets had been sent in error.
At the tribunal, where emotions ran high, Freeman claimed the banned substance had been ordered on behalf of coach Shane Sutton to treat his alleged erectile dysfunction. The Australian, later called to give evidence at the hearing, rubbished those claims before storming out in disgust."
Just fitted Vittoria Mezcal III XC-Race G2.0 rear and Barzo front. I’ve done 78km up and down and through valley trails these last two days and am impressed. I’ve previously preferred Rekon Race R and Ardent or Onza Canis F, yet this Vittoria combo feels like a step up for this tall 94kg guy over the rocks and roots and hardpack k's. The Mezcal is about 70 grams heavier than the Pirelli Scorpion RC Lite with a slightly harder and almost continuous centre tread. Solomon’s are doing a special at R700 for each of those Vittoria’s.
I wanted re-taping on one and new valves and a rapid job so took the Vittoria bucket deal which LBSs are currently offering at 2k all in. Tyres, valves, tape and sealant.

Errr… what? She’s popping off at a particular (No 21) Shimano neutral car already engaged with another rider while making no mention of her non-existent team support or support from her own SRAM sponsors???
Let’s be kind and say that your, and her, logic is somewhat uNoRtHoDoX.

A bit of perspective as her team is in fact SDWorx (and SRAM) sponsored. Looooooong and weird stretch for her to be popping off at the Shimano neutral service, ain’t it? From her IG thread:
Harry Kane looked pleased and excited after completing his move. My fellow gooners and I are also well pleased, he scored far too many goals against us. I think no-one would be surprised if he scores even more at BM, as he won’t be asked to track back as much.

+1 vote for that, but for the more recent 29” versions (from 2022). Loads of fun and with an upgrade of my skills can now rip it on mid- to more gnarly terrain. I also like that it’s more engaging.
