  1. Butterfly shopper haha W E. Awesme: If both you and Cylelab decided it was a factory fault, CL should have handled it for you from the start since you were their client. You let them fob you off and go on a wild goosechase taking CL's problem and making it somebody else's. I have always dealt directly with William in the original JHB Thule store, and his efforts and ethic has been beyond reproach. I cant comment on the subsequent franchises as I have not dealt with them. I'm suprised you didnt bad mouth CL in your subject title originally.
  2. Why on earth did you buy it from Cyclelab then?

How was your EPR JCZA? Those rumble strips are a real pain, dont go fast over them, your bottles will rattle out. Bunny hop, or try edge around the side of them, there are several sets, just outside Tarlton Raceway. mind the loose spinning bottles too. best get up front and on the edge of the bunch so that you can deal with them properly and not get caught out.

Tarlton Rumble strips caused me a world of pain and misery in the EPR 120km race - both bottles got thrown 3km in, had to go back to fetch. That coupled with 2 punctures, set me up for a momentous 110km SOLO time trial in the wind. Best left forgotton, SO PAY ATTENTION TO ANY RUMBLE STRIPS, THEY COULD REALLY RUIN YOUR DAY.
  5. these work best: http://www.bike24.com/i/p/1/6/26361_00_d.jpg
  6. Well the post office still isnt all that special either... My latest Evans order in question. After waiting 3 weeks, I received a call from a Lady one evening, saying she had my parcel and would i like to collect it, or should she take it back to the PO. ????? I collected it from her the next morning. Turns out my parcel was placed inside her opened parcel, and would have been forwarded to CT if she had not 'just done one last check' . My items were all there, although the packet was ripped and no docs included, just the receipt inside. The next day I got a call from the PO. She had gone to them to ask WTF, and they were now calling me to ask for the manifest and telling me to come in a nd pay for it.... Cheeky blerry incompetant muppets.
  7. AL for me too. Did it once before, fast and fun, climb out of Magaliesburg town though, once you cross the railway lines (careful) good training.
  8. lose some body weight.
  9. omg hahaha, thats insane.

  11. Cytogen is pretty good stuff.
  12. Careful with Strava. Some people out there take it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to seriously and get really bent out of shape if you come anywhere near their 'hard fought for' KOM's. This can lead to strained relationships with riding buddies, etc should you do ANYTHING that remotely tampers with the legitimacy of a KOM you may have 'stolen' from them. Each and every segment should be clearly marked, indicating what form of transport is acceptible, time of year, breakfast, clothing etc etc in order to attempt it. Save all evidence as proof of legitimacy as you will be questioned thoroughly following a successful KOM. Stravass***es seem to forget that their actual pecking order in the 'real' world would be much the same as in any race or national championship where professional riders compete...
  13. My fixie - had lots of fun on the track with it so far... http://www.biketype.com/pics/5515/small/bianchi_pista_07.jpg
  14. The Spez SL3 was my upgrade from Canondale haha. Tarmac is a great bike, enjoyed the canondale too. Will you notice much difference? Not sure, geometries are quite different, My tarmac flies up hills, and with my 58 deep sections, downhill acceleration is amazing. Very happy at the mo, so I think you wont be upgrading, rather going sideways...
  15. Did the previous one. as per many of the Gauteng races, it was over subscribed, proper seeding was not applied, predominantly very dusty single track with few oppertunities of passing slower riders. This venue is best kept for going and having a training jol with your mates than racing.
  16. Um, Nuno shurter has enough ability to win on any platform. As a paid professional he is also used as a marketing tool to help move product through his exploits.
  17. if the bcd matches, yes. you just loose a little on the top end, but your granny will be easier.
  18. imo Both have issues, Garmin just less so. I have used both, been let down badly by both. Started off with the Polar, then added Garmin. Chose to stick with Garmin as the lesser of two evils (when i had the Edge 305) Learnt how to use all the Garmin features properly - its actually a great package for training and racing. Now I have the Edge 800 - superb, no issues so far. Really good device. You wont regret going with Garmin, warrenty is 12 months not 24, but you do get assistance if needed. The garmin cadence/speed sensor is still a piece of leaky crap - batteries have to be replaced regularly.
  19. you mean you would actually consider going through all this again?
  20. Sounds like you all had loads of fun.
  21. Its a lot slower is my biggest gripe. Navigation isnt a problem really, once you are used to where things are and where to look. So many extra hoops to jump through though, its clearly not designed for SA's super high speed lightning fast internet feeds.
  22. too many rules...
  23. Rubbish, image is everything...
