  1. fitted a pair on my hardtail yesterday and did the northern quicky and i am seriousely impressed, they are fast, light and grips well. not sure how long they will last, lets see
  2. the day i want to file for divorce me and hubby will get onto a tandem, we just have too much of a will of our own to do such things. apart from that, whilst i clearly have no idea what i am talking about, i dont see the logic of staring into somebody's backside the whole way, and breath recycled USN poluted air

    Argus crashes

There were quite a few brutal ones, passed a bad crash on that fast section after smitswinkel and i am worried about the girl who was lying completely motionless in the middle ofbthe road, any news on her?
  4. Pm me if you've lost yours
  5. common knowledge that its a feeding frenzie for BW cops this time of the year, wont blame the town
  6. no issues in pulling a bunch but what pisses me off is when you try and fall back to rest some idiots wont let you back into the bunch, and its usually the wankers who never work in the front with this attitude
  7. fully agree although it would be nice and even logical for organisers to put litter bins at the start for everyone to get rid of whatever baggage one generated bwo gell packets and bottles before the start.
  8. by now i suspect they just call it 97km to get the entry numbers up because 100+ has a mental barrier............
  9. saturday and sunday MORNINGS when there are lots of people i would go alone but from 11/12 and the afrenoon, no
  10. okay now to figure how to make low GI energy drinks from petrol
  11. what on the spruit? where exactly?
  12. while youre at it wont you look at some software that extracts files from pro trainer into polar personal trainer? currently one must download all training twice nto each program becuase polar is to thick to make software linking the two. that will help the garmin blokes two to avoid downloadin twice
  13. truly awesum guys! the more i ride the spruit the more i fall in love with it. sadly though, my hubby do not think its safe for a girl or two to ride alone, despite the place being littered with cyclist over weekend mornings. what can i say to convince him or should i not try (i.e. is it as unsafe as he perceive?)?
  14. the city council does cut the grass though, saw them there (below Delta park) on thursday. perhaps its aa matter of putting pressure to get them doing it more often. Also, its not only cyclist using the Spruit, many hikers and runners too, i saay they should also get involved in an initiative like this.
  15. definately not a good idea to run in Lagos streets, if you dont get robbed you will get taken out by a car/motorbike ! treadmill and swim, most hotels have gyms/pools
  16. sorry i can not answer your q all my logic tells me is that it must put more strain on the schock but i know no better. even when riding on paved roads its rather simple flick of that little lever to unlock and i do it all the time, no hassle. pesonally i wont do 3 feet drops with pro pedal on, not nessesary
  17. not sure if it will hurt the shock but why dont you want to ride ddrops on pro pedal rather than just opening up your suspension??
  18. they would not have done it if there was not a crime issue, i recall looking at buying property there and backed off when i heard about the crime stats. usuall they close off most roads but leave one or two entry/exit points so i dont think its a matter of no entry at all. just change your route accordingly, there are enough hills to keep you busy
  19. i would like bike shops to become e bucks partners so i can get double points when i buy from them and swipe my e bucks card and also that i can buy cycle stuff with my e bucks tx
  20. dont understand
  21. find the training stress thing quite interesting but dont undertand the calculatio and how they aarrive at the red/amber/green indication whether you should train at all, train light or heavy, does anybody know and do you go by that? my threshold is constantly in red and shows it will remain in red for next two days, so does that mean i should not train for two days??
  22. cycle madness in hurlingham manor got quite a few conti below R600
  23. have x king protection, fairly new to these tyres (not UST but ride them tubeless) weight eh hem 74kg, had on 2 bar this weekend and although really fantastic on crawling over rocky terrian i felt overall things were a bit bumbpy, will experiment with lower pressures on the next ride
