I'm posting on behalf of Ralph / Vissie, the even is on FB also if you need a link but I thought it might be a good idea to let the hubbers know also. Mass Participation MTB Ride at Oak Valley 16th March 2014. For those whom might not be aware, Pieter Visser (Vissie) of Oak Valley has been diagnosed with Lymphatic cancer. Vissie has been a massive driving force behind getting trails going on the farm and supporting MTB in the Western Cape. In the last couple of years they have expanded enormously and done a world of good for our MTB / cycling community. As a show of mountain biking community spirit, we would love it if you, your family and all your friend...s that have so enjoyed the Oak Valley trails over the years would join us in this drive to help “Pay Some Back”. We shall be asking for a small donation (details below) which shall be offered to assist the Visser family in their upcoming medical bills.   18. I found that since switching from 26er to 29er it don't much matter what tyre I use, I just get so much more grip! Right now I'm running what my s-works come out with eg. S-Works Renegade on the rear and S-works Fast Trak on the front. And I've experimented loads with my 26er and nothing comes close to switching to 29er for grip especially since the s-works tyres don't look very grippy.
  19. Two stems cracked, seatposts are good, V-Brakes are utter sh#t, cracked Mtb and Road versions - Bar Ends to soft and deform after fist crash - pulley wheel things bearing are crap and don't last.

  22. I've had two wheelsets build by CRC, really happy with them, oh...CWC, dunno.
  23. I got the 510, it's got way more options than I'd ever use, I just want to see how far I've gone and upload it to Strava so it's pretty cool.
  24. I tried racing with tubbies one season and only finished about half the races the rest all punctured and had to call someone to fetch me.
