  1. Have not seen any of the Lampre riders on the SLR recently. Cunego rode that one last year. The rest of the tem seem to ride the "normal" 101 Superleggera.
  2. For a moment there I thought you were giving buying advice on MTB's, that would be really funny! I think mint condition is a lie - Have you taken that bike off the tar? On the topic, there were a number of frame failures on the older YETIs, but I have yet to come across a YETI rider who didn't really love his bike. Phone Morningside Cycles, they should be able to help with pricing AFAIK they are the agents.
  3. I have a picture of a hubber on one of those... Dogma still is my favourite, but I don't like the look of the 2 though. It looks like the old one was left in the sun and melted... The LOOK is very very nice. The Colnago seems the same as the Master - now with carbon tubes! Should they maybe spend some money on R&D?
  4. Tell him to buy the first one he can find...
  5. Fight! Fight! Fight! I think Conti was dumb to lsoe so much time, I hope baby Schleck takes the win! Evans will lose 10-15 mins on one day which will cost him...
  6. Cheers, I was referring to the center to center measurement to the center of the top tube/seat tube joint and you checked to the top of the seat tube clamp...All good :-) The OP should sort out what top tube length he wants and look at the geo charts.
  7. You sure about that - My bike has a 54 cm top tube but a 53cm seat tube?? Maybe you got it the wrong way around?
  8. Simple - Pinarello ,measures and sizes their bikes center to center on the seat tube. Most others measure top tube. You will find that you do not officially get a size 54 Pinarello (only the Chinese knockoffs are 54cm) A size 53 (or 530 as they call it, has a 54cm (c to c) top tube i.e. 55/56 top tube compared to other bikes. So a size 53 Pina = 55/56 in most other bikes...
  9. Weight?
  10. So Morwa - change the topic to : I have a Fizik Gobi that I want to swop for... then ask mods to make it sticky and there we go.
  11. Whahahaha...and she has a sense of humour too! Good luck to Lizle's colleague Laurike with IM France this weekend!!
  12. One of the international forums (either bikeradar or weightweenies has a saddle swop shop sticky topic) Where forum members can swop and try out other saddles. Maybe one could satrt something similar on here? http://www.bikeradar.com/commuting/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12715506&sid=b0a9fc16181c5f111e2e2f07a1a90677
  13. Thats pretty cool (as in neat) - Where do you live and what do you do for a living Gummibear?
  14. Wouldn't it be easier for Carte Blanche to contact the cycling clubs? In Pta there are about 3-4 big clubs, which would probably account for 90% of the cyclists in the capital. Dunno about the rest of SA though...Just a thought?
  15. No Head of state? Wonder what Phil and Paul are going to say?
  16. I beg to differ. Omnico pricing is very closr to international pricing....
  17. Apparently - complete bike with SRAM Red, will start the range at the EUR4500 mark. Rumour also has it that if they eventually offer frame only option it will be +-EUR3000 WOW!Its like half a Dogma...half the weight AND half the price(not quite but almost)
  18. My wepons of choice too , but I run Asics offroad too! Gel Trabuco - like the Kayano's I wear on the road, just funkier colours and a bit beefier. Anima Sano In Corpore Sano. I doubt I'll ever wear other running shoes...
  19. Chances are the USB thingy is faulty...I have had mine replaced foc twice, helluva frustartion though!
  20. Was he blind? - they don't even look remotely the same! If you know what a Pina looks liek you can see it from a mile away...
  21. That is the point - the Castelli kit is handmade in Croatia/Romania (and some in China admittedly). The Chinks copy ANYTHING - they wil definitley copy Cinelli's too. Maybe somone could import a few and flog them on the hub!
  22. Who greeted you? The cops or the other friendly gentlemen?
  23. Chinarello - Cholnago - What is a fake Cinelli called??
  24. As with a lot of topics on here, I think it has sidetracked somewhat. The point I was trying to make was, exactly the following scenarios. Person a advertises : Pinarello Dogma copy - we all flame him, post gets deleted, it was a proper copy, with their attempt at the "proboscis" headtube, curvy wavy forks etc.. I am not talking about unbranded bikes, that look nothing like a Pinarello, which are afeectionately known as Chinarellos. http://www.greatkeenbike.com/main/home/cp_detail.php?id=64&nowmenuid=12&cpath=0009:&catid=0 Some Eastern fella posted this on thehubsa a couple of months ago. Person B advertises Castelli kit : People buy it and no one says a word. The freaking Castelli logo is all over the kit. It is counterfeit goods and illegal. The SAPS should knock on your door (if they don't break down the neighbours gate), take all your fake sh!t and burn it... Generics are a different story, they do not pretend to be the real thing!
  25. Why is it that if someone tries to sell a fake Dogma (and calls it a "copy" he gets absolutely flamed (by myself too), and reported and the thread removed etc. But fake and copied cycling clothing made by 7 year old chinese children gets people excited. These copies are knockoffs of kit designed and branded over many years. The fakes even have the same logo's on them and are advertised as the real thing?? But if JM or other ANC comrades win tenders they are called unethical.
