  1. That is my guess.
  2. They only look cool to tri folk, and matches an Mdot tattoo...For the rest it looks k@k. I think I saw a couple of guys wearing compression gear on the podium though?
  3. Will worry about that when I get a Mac...
  4. We all now Garmin Training Centre is useless. Any other sites/software that I can use to download my ride data, i.e. maps and other stats? I've heard sporttracks or somthing before, but cannot seem to find it on the web? Thx
  5. Old school fans, most hubbers are familiar with Nic and Stan's Bicycleportraits project, check this out! http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.258306820849769.80938.120630434617409&type=1
  6. Doubt they did, but if ASG checks serial numbers as they say in the warning on their website, they will see that the helmet was not bought from them, and not refund SB. Just to clarify something : I was under the impression that the crash replacement guarantees are given by the distributors and not the manufacturers. I was told my Giro helmets were replaced by Omnico in the past. And I distinctly remember that the "Crash replacement form" I had to complete was an Omnico form. Care to shed some light on this? CWC - Do your helmets carry a crash replacement policy or only the usual guarantee agains manufacturers defects?
  7. You gotlucky and SouthBay may not be refunded the diff from ASG as CWC bought helmets are not covered... Lucky you. Hope for SB sake they don't lose the money as I doubt they'll get the refund from CWC
  8. Serious? I have no grounds for this, but I find that hard to believe as most of the top end shoes are the same, with different rubber add-ons (i.e. the entire Sidi range, S Works, Mavic)Would they then ride in road shoes and risk not being able to get off and run that small 10m section in order to save 20gr? Well. the MTBers ahve copied roadies and are sprting white bibs nowadays, so I suppose anything is possible
  9. Brace yourself to be dissapointed dude...The brick and mortar shops over here are not great , except for one or two of them i.e. SigmaSport/Condor. The rest are small, carry small ranges and not much cheaper than SA. If you want to do a bit of online ordering before you come, I might be able to help out.
  10. For a wee bit more you can get VERY good shorts from Etxeondo, called the Dicolor -R950. But if it is out of your price range I apologise...

    Sidi Ergo 3

If they anything like the Ergo 2 - they are good. Honestly, cannot see much difference apart form the "graphics" and that looks a bit OTT? Should carry about a 10% premium on the Ergo2's - at least that was the increase in the UK and Europe... Why not something completely off the wall, like the yellow Mavics or Pink BONT's, or orange like the Euskaltel Euskaldi shoes?
  12. It is a training tool... not a lightweight bike... www.factor001.com Around GBP20,000 over here. Weight is about 7,5kg
  13. Agreed, there seems to be a mentality of : This is unfair, someone will have to look out for me... Personally I handpicked a number of races annually and only did those, simply because I thought the cost of races became ridiculous. Like Mark Cavendish said - I don't race **** races (or something to that tune)when asked about his number of wins
  14. I'd say the best Cervelo is the one that has not cracked yet...
  15. www.ridewithgps.com Register, go to map ride -- click click - download to Garmin and off yoo go. Just6 plotted a trip in Italy. Gives turn by turn directions if you download the correct format... So your route is sorted. I'd say take a backup kombi/bus and enjoy...
  16. Did a similar thing a couple of years ago, started Underberg and rode to Maseru bridge - awesome trip. Prepare for all conceivable weather conditions. And pack your climbing shoes! Enjoy the ride and don't dish out sweets to the kiddies, they will swamp you in absolutely no time
  17. Considered the Giro Aeon? Also claimed sub 200gr - I think 185gr.
  18. How was the hubber who was going to buy my bike and then after I put off several other interested parties, tells me : SOrry I bought anohter bike... You get them all over...
  19. WOW! Is your surname Cav?
  20. But is it fast/aero/light Its a TT, not a fashion parade... It certainlt beats their previous TT helmet, which was a standard C50 with a fairing glued to it - weighed almost 500gr, if I remember correctly.
  21. I have a KASK C50 like team sky rides...it is the most comfortable lid I have ever tried. Not very light, but very comfortable. Good luck!
  22. Doubt it... Probikekit has the Tdf shirts - www.probikekit.com
  23. In mathematics, a percentage is a way of expressing a number as a fraction of 100 (per cent meaning "per hundred" in Latin). It is often denoted using the percent sign, "%", or the abbreviation "pct"[citation needed]. For example, 45% (read as "forty-five percent") is equal to 45/100, or 0.45 . Percentages are used to express how large/small one quantity is, relative to another quantity. The first quantity usually represents a part of, or a change in, the second quantity, which should be greater than zero. For example, an increase of $ 0.15 on a price of $ 2.50 is an increase by a fraction of 0.15/2.50 = 0.06. Expressed as a percentage, this is therefore a 6% increase. Although percentages are usually used to express numbers between zero and one, any dimensionless proportionality can be expressed as a percentage. For instance, 111% is 1.11 and –0.35% is –0.0035. Although this is technically inaccurate as per the definition of percent, an alternative wording in terms of a change in an observed value is "an increase/decrease by a factor of..."
  24. Greg, There is this chap running a shop called Neil's Wheels who seems to be recovering a lot of stolen bikes. Maybe swing by as he might have found it for you...
  25. What does this mean? I think Conti is a knob, you don't win the Currie Cup in May, and you don't win the tour in the first week. Trying to take a stage says he wants to take back what he lost 2/3 days ago, like an upset school bully. What does he want to do - win the TOUR or the daily racing? Im no LA fanboy, but his stratgey was near perfect for 7 yeasr - he wouldn't have attacked where it didn't suit his style to try and gain a couple of dseconds.
