  1. Here goes Cancellara!
  2. Love the psychology MH, but you are probably spot on.
  3. That Niner looks like the business and if you are doing XC races it surely has to be the obvious choice.
  4. I have tried pretty much everything. I am doing really well on 32GI and find their Recovery shake the best of the bunch by far. Hammer also good but getting really expensive... I have found a number of USN products really ineffective. To the points above, no substitute to the correct training regime.
  5. I think Tankman is on his own now. Don't think his girlfriend finished today.
  6. Fair enough Andy and Dale. Apologies Rapunzel, a personal attack was not intended and is uncalled for. I was heated up after reading the thread as I ride that route all the time and have always felt pretty safe within the confines of the yellow line. Ride safe gents.
  7. Are you for real? Two cyclists get mown down in the yellow lane and you try to justify it with an oblique rule... Honestly no words can express what I think you are...
  8. If you keep an eye on the Hub, there are always entries that come available. You will be able to take over someone else's entry with a nominal substitution fee.
  9. It's pretty expensive.... Cost me R1600 for fork and brain shock service. Has to be sent away to Spez in Stellenbosch
  10. I am 1.85m and the Tallboy in a Large was perfect. Rode with a standard inverted 100mm stem.
  11. Your time would have been good enough for 5th in C. If you came 5th there should be a photo supporting it
  12. Not trying to make a point at all, you still have a good result. You are probably the most frequent poster on the Hub and it is usually regarding road racing. As we were discussing Burger tactics etc. I was just genuinely interested as to how you fell so far off the pace. A team mate of mine fought out the very close A batch finish, hence the interest. I read something about your knee earlier which perhaps explains it but you appear to have deleted the post.
  13. The leaders of A batch came in at 02:42 and according to Racetec you came at almost 02:51. I was just interested as to how you lost so much time if you were with the leaders on the R44.
  14. If you were in the leading A bunch on the R44, how did you manage to finish almost 9 minutes behind the leading A riders?
  15. Take cash to replace your drivetrain after tomorrow. It's gonna be very muddy...
  16. What makes it a fact? I have never encountered anyone at the bum clinic asking DS or Hardtail....
  17. I would also go Mavics in this company, but I will say that I have a friend riding the DH 50mm who weighs around 80kg's and has experienced no issues with flex.
  18. Well done CWC, great gesture. Well done to Wayne P for kicking this off, I will look out for you at Joberg2C next year and buy you a beer or six!
  19. Good point. However as long as you run them with 23c tyres and centre them properly there will be no issue.
  20. I agree but don't look as good as the Zipps B)
  21. They were around R16k but unfortunately the Rand has gone south since then.
  22. Zipp 303 Firecrest - Best of all worlds. CWC did a great price for me on these when I bought them about a year ago.
  23. Nice feedback. Did you go to Cycle Addiction by any chance? I always find them very helpful sorting out any problems even when I haven't bought from them.
  24. Definitely the Crossmax, but quite a bit more expensive I think. The AC's are good value but very easily damaged.
  25. Sounds like a reasonable ask given the spec.
