  1. Just ride up the hill you bunch of nafs. By the looks of the bushes below the corner, looks like some dude tossed it on the last corner of the Bizhub trail, the one which kicks down hard right. Could be a nasty spillage that.
  2. Good grief. That's a shocker of a comment. Poor form bru.
  3. For me the Trek is the way to go. I have an EX8 and absolutely loved it. I have just, as in this week changed to a 29er but kept the Trek for my wife. Jst the most amazing, plush suspension system, that goes anywhere. Done all sorts of riding from Sani to cruising in the berg, to classic races and no problems. They have sorted the suspension system under braking brilliantly IMO. For me worked best set up with tubeless crossmarks but thats just me. Good luck. My mate who I ride with plenty has an Anthem which he loves. We are about the same level riders and often finish about the same places, so can't say one of the 2 is quicker than the other.
  4. I have lost mine actually, but somewhere in my cycling kit draw. Hopefully not in Pretoria, otherwise I've got serious sleepwalking issues. Driving me insane that I can't find them and I know they haven't left my house.
  5. I enjoyed Sundays ride. Bit off the pace , been working instead of training recently, but good. Must say a few times I did think a nice flat road would be nice. ST all good but the windy windy type as opposed to the easy flowing type does stuff you up. Plus impossible to drink from your bottle or get out any chow while you threading between trees and rocks. That little kicker uphill was a bit ugly. If you stopped pedaling you would fall over backwards at one point. Was quite pleased to see the finish though
  6. So when I was aa lightie and my mate and I built a jump for our bmxs and I wiped and bust my wrist his ballie was liable? Poor bugger was at work. Surely not?
  7. Irritated me enough after 2mins to turn it off. Imagine watching the whole match live. That screeching is a bit unnecessary don't you think?
  8. Tintin, cool idea. You can be like Vuyo, he got there selling boerewors rolls.
  9. How many mambas you found digging in that bush bru?
  10. Trek Fuel EX. Sweet.
  11. Nigel all good bru, just one jump that is too small, probably the one you talking about. Can see someone bombing that and landing on their front wheel and tip and rolling. Probably me. Otherwise all good. You guys have done a lot of work there. Any chance of removing the slippery cross angle root that runs across the trail , high up on the original section?
  12. Can't be that high, that's like the gym pool. Garfield you well enough to race bru?
  13. For bike riding definitely the way to go. I've got a pair of Oakley Jawbones with photochromic lenses and they are world class.
  14. I use a RS800 CX and very happy. Always had cracker service from Polar
  15. Agree absolutely. Me and my riding mates are very much the beer and braai and talk about the ride after race types. My Fortuner exhaust does almost drag on the ground with 5 or 6 bikes loaded on. Current wife and kids all ride and come with to races and we love it. None of us ever going to win anything. But when the thing is timed , we all compare times and whether we like it or not, feels cracker to beat your mate who is is faster than you. But that's as far as it goes. Still swallow beer afterwards. As for pushing others out the way to get threre, well there will always be chops around.
  16. Bunch of ous lined up on the start line, no difference if A batch or Z batch, when that gun goes, something goes click in your brain and you travel. Aim is to get to the other end, quick as you can. First question everyone asks at the end is " what was your / my time" . It's just how we built. As long as where you come and what your tine was doesn't define you, nothing wrong with wanting to beat your mate. Closest feeling any of us will get to winning is beating our mate who normally beats you. And when it happens it feels like you won Olympic gold. All good.
  17. Lucky you had a glove on. I froze one to my hand once. Not pretty.
  18. Trek fuel EX8. Schweet.
  19. I like it. Although bit bit biased as have always ridden and loved pull bikes.
  20. Dude. What's an out of focus eye?
  21. Stop eating your wife's chow bru. You need " The Green Juice"!
  22. Alll about choices. Your choice is the juice . All good ( unless you make me drink the stuff in the photo). All depends what you trying to achieve. I'm early 40s and ride and swim for fun, I'm not overweight but def not a racing snake. No chance I can keep up with the lighties in a bike race , so I ride for fun and race my mates of the same age. Best thing after a ride on the weekend is a cold beer and a braai, to me that's the balance I'm after. If juicing makes you feel like you want to, go for it.
  23. We will panel them. As we should. Playing at home, we should beat them 10 times out of 10. If we play properly.
  24. Haven't been watching, hard at work, but sounds like the cracking it around. Alviro is world class. Should never have lost his place first time round. Rudolph at 6 could be good. This makes our effort in Durban look even more lame.
  25. Good luck with that!
