  2. Yes .There is a nice piece of single track in between also .Last 6km with heavy legs and a head wind for the last hour ,you ride 6km of Van gaalen,s river trail .Don,t try and keep up with the roadies in the first hour or so if you are not use to road cycling ,it will cost you on the way back

  4. 1. Melitta Caffeo Barista TS: The best bean-to-cup machine Price when reviewed: £999 If you want the best bean-to-cup machine, the Melitta Caffeo Barista TS comes highly recommended. I've always been a firm believer that manual machines give you more control and the best-quality coffee, but I'm happy to say that this machine has beaten all of my expectations and produces exceptional coffee that's every bit as good (if not better) than from a manual machine. As well as regular espresso and long drinks, the Caffeo Barista can automatically steam and pour milk for perfect cappucinos and lattes: all available from the touch of a button. With two bean hoppers, so you can have a variety of coffee on the go, user profiles that members of your house can tweak to get coffee the way they want it and incredibly simple maintenance, this really is the king of automatic machines. 8. For those climbs 36 at the back with 34 front is not enough .For the 35km the climbs are short so you might manage .Definitely not enough for the 70 km
  9. My setup is 1[34] x11 [11 to 46 ] FSB with maxxis ardent, icon combo at 1.7 Bar .Fork at 100 psi and Shock 200psi .I know i will be using all my gears and definitely the 42 and 46 at the rear .This year it is back to the full monster climb .I have a HT with 32 oval x 11 to 42 ,10 gears setup that will also work

  18. I rode the smuggler at a Dirt merchant test day at Wolwekloof in Pretoria .I rode the same trails that i have ridden with my other XC bikes before .Although the bike is a Alu frame and slightly heavier i never felt it .I was curious about the climbing ability and surprised that climbing was as good or even better with the more upright seat post position .The bike inspires confidence when descending ,so much that i rode drop offs for the first time that i never had the courage to ride before before .It takes a few corners to get used to the wider bars and direct steering ,but all makes this a go to ,all day .all-terrain bike
  19. White double cab with a B@#$%$h showing us middle finger .I was also in C group .There were 3 riders i saw that got swept of the road by the crosswind on the Ventersdorp road .One of them was right next to me but he kept it upright on the gravel .The other 2 crashed

  22. I was riding between Arniston and Bredasdorp next to the recently harvested canola fields .I will bet you my new DS bike if you don,t come across a dead cape cobra .On this occasion it was chasing something at speed and as my front wheel came into it,s path it looked like the snake turned around midair ,wheel hight, faster than my brain can calculate what to do .On that day i came 2 live cobra,s and a dead one Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. 9.hours gps tracking is not bad without a charge .Always use a PC to charge .Don,t use a cellphone adapter ,they ruin your battery
  24. I find it really hard to stay in any large bunch .There is a lot more to road cycling and fast times than being fit .Those surges and untimely breakaways kills me .Getting to Steyn city with 13 minutes spare to get my sub 3 gave new meaning to my pain threshold .I am happy with 2h56 but it felt so much harder than previous years .Well organized like always
