  1. A process has begun... 1/12 (GI Joe) and 2/12 (Steely Dan) "You can train so much easier than you think & still improve" A bit of a mindset change but still happy!
  2. Was wondering how much the snowflakes are carrying for a 3-4 hour max effort surely that they need a 'litter zone' to get rid of the 'wrappers'? #SMK
  3. Chris in my bit of experience with ultra rides and stage races I've found that comfort has only a little too do with what shorts and more to do with how used too spending time in the saddle you are. And despite all of that if it's a proper test in time and distance is gonna hurt anyway ... Just my humble opinion of course 😜
  4. "Desperado why don't you come to your senses? You've been out ridin' fences for so long now Oh, you're a hard one I know that you got your reasons These things that are pleasin' you Can hurt you somehow"
  5. Epic has become like bloody 'fight club' ... here on the hub at least 🤔
  6. There I was checking my Gmails and DM's frantically but nothing, I am disappoint ....
  7. 'Gambling is illegal in the savannas ...'
  8. For the first time in over 3 decades planning no events at all ... a few reasons but that doesn't mean I won't be riding bikes off course 😎
  9. I guess that's the end of my watching WC MTB after all these years sadly 🤔 But it is what it is as the cool kids say
  10. Any links to a free live feed please?
  11. Finally an 'outride' ... becoming that coffee ride guy slowly but surely!
  12. Unless you're into 'marginal gains', as an average Joe does what chain lube you use really matter? I doubt there are many riders that clean and lube their chains in the most effective manner anyway ... I'm happy to be proven wrong
  13. I 3D printed myself one of these ...
  14. Just another two comments then I'm done ... Teling people you have an MTB, gravel and road bike doesn't really help the OP If you're spending a lot of effort and by definition money to make your gravel bike more comfortable then it's probably not the right bike for what you ride ... there are better options for YOU It's for gravel roads not trails or blimmin XC/DH tracks! I take my coat and my hat
  15. At the risk of raising the shackles of the hub experts, it's only worth it if you intend riding on and off road. On road only get the right tool for the job and buy a road bike!
  16. Just around the blocks in my suburb for now but it's a start ... lekker to try out this new build at last 😎
  17. Yes and sadly 'euthanized' https://www.news24.com/news24/SouthAfrica/News/breaking-sheba-the-tiger-found-and-euthanised-after-killing-another-animal-20230118
  18. No and yes ... doesn't mean I don't like looking at interesting numbers ... to me. You don't need to check yours or discuss it or lose any sleep 🤔
  19. Suffice to say a combination of personal and health/injury issues... how and when they'll be resolved is difficult to say but staying positive
  20. #EkSeMaarNiks The Guardian: Amsterdam calls for crackdown on menace of souped-up e-bikes. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jan/14/amsterdam-crackdown-souped-up-e-bikes-dangerous-streets
  21. As others mentioned just an interesting number to observe ... at 62 years of age and currently dealing with issues that have brought my riding to a standstill for a while with no real prospect of getting back to it soon I guess 'it is what it is' as the cool kids say. I can tell my grand children about it though 😜
  22. 53x18 More for show than go though this build 😎 But is intended to be ridden occasionally!
