  1. Milky earl grey tea.
  2. Bikes should be allowed everywhere. Even dirty hipsters on gravel bikes. LOL
  3. Whaaat? Gravel eBikes? Is that even allowed? Wont the hipster brigade kill him when they find out?
  4. My Ebike is more my enduro bike, and with it's mullet setup, I struggled to find a 650b tyre a while back in 2.6". Clearly you are all running more XC rubber but the Maxxis DHR2 have been great in EXO+. I could only find a Bontrager SE5 TEAM (or something like that in name) as the profile was agressive enough, but firstly at R1500 it's laughable and a complete RIP OFF, and secondly what a piece of ****. Side knobs ripping, wearing faster than anything, and totally really just ****** after less than 250km and hardly any tar. May try schwalbe next if maxxis still unavailable. But Bontrager? GFY!
  5. It's a Garmin. My 830 and my Garmin watch both were hopelessly inaccurate compared to other devices. But dont tell the Fenix wearers here, they'll kill your family! ???? They're a serious bunch. But find looking at rides with other devices now, much more accurate in the readings.
  6. Happy to join just to see where to ride. Also have tools / chainsaw (petrol) and battery powered things like edge trimmers / hedge trimmers etc.
  7. Thats great. Perhaps also add a Raptor kit to your bakkie??
  8. swap em to heat the pool
  9. it was the clear AMS. the honeycomb plastic is what makes it look like a burn victim's scars. AMS is butt ugly. ****it, I dont need to try and make money on my bike's resale. I look after it, and I feel better seeing it as is. No plastic stuff thanks.
  10. AMS looks so awful. I pulled it off my bike. I'll risk a scratch or three rather.
  11. I've done enough NYC the past few years to say I can almost 100% gaurantee it's the modded "ebike" (more like electric scooter, not a pedal assist as we call an ebike) delivery bike like someone posted on the previous page. Infact, my team and I saw one burning in the snow last January. Most of them are crappy cheap chinese hub motors with the cheapest possible batteries living the hardest possible life. I'd also not call them ebikes but electric motor bicycles (or something). That said, Instagram keeps sharing a pic of a burned out Levo. Would love to know the story behind it.
  12. I've punctured a pair of regular AirMax and VaporMax. LOL. On topic: send it for a service, a seal or shim is ******. Oil also degrades over time.
  13. know someone who lost a nut after fixing a broken rail that popped out like this. on a tricky section of Eden Forest, sat down, popped out and he moved and it ripped through the short / bibs and took off his sack. that alone stops me even thinking of fixing a broken saddle. LOL Good luck.
  14. Fox is just so much better in terms of adjustment, and RS has caught up but Fox just wins hands down. Fanboys in Bikehub. Hell yes, especially those Garmin boys. FML they're on another level! And to the guy saying Ohlins above all others? In servicing requirements yeah, they do win!! haha.
  15. Fox > RockSux
  16. Oh damn, someone took the Assegai DH casing as a serious post. If you want a fast as hell tyre, fair weight, and decent casing, just put a Maxxis Minion SS on. I've run one on my trail bike for 2 years and it's fantastic. And has side knobs that are there when needed, but out of the way for when you're up and putting down those watts.
  17. Will happily swap Garmin sh!t for Apple or Suunto discounts! ????
  18. Definitely, you need to run Maxxis Assegai in DH casing after this experience.
  19. I heard someone call someone a Naai that was wearing Vye kit. It's now Naai kit in our group.
  20. Only one worth it in my opinion. The iStores have the stainless steel etc, but I dont think it's worth the bucks. The basic strap is strangely the best. But I do have a few options I alternate between.
  21. Chris, we'll get you one. User experience is really that much better.
  22. Just went back to Apple Watch (6) after flirting with Garmin for 2 years. It's really like I rejoined the future again. Sure, the Garmin was more geared towards sport, but to be honest, ever so slightly and I've not had a problem using Strava on the Apple Watch, so honestly a moot point. Sadly work been hectic, so longest ride was 1h45m and then only 5% battery used, so all good. I dont wear my watch at night, so to drop it onto the magnetic charger is really not such an issue. The Garmin naturally will have more battery life purely because it does **** all in comparison. LOL But to have a watch that doesn't vibrate on the table with notifications when you're NOT wearing it is probably my happiest change. Plus notifications you can look at, turn your wrist away, and it's gone. Useful weather, banking, calendar, Siri and music. The ECG and 02 are also super useful. In all honesty, I think the GPS is also more accurate when riding (my own "scientific testing"). But lastly, 90% of my life I am not excercising, and it literally kicks 500000% **** out of a Garmin. Just better, cleverer and more integrated in every way. Honestly, that ONE time a year I cannot do an ironman with it, I'll survive. Again, and I've said it before, I just dont get the Garmin hysteria on this Bikehub sites. At best, very average products. Replacing my Edge 830 with a Wahoo too. Then finally out of that Garmin club
  23. QC35 updated. The ANC (lol) and comfort to me personally are miles ahead. I was worried about weight, but the fit and mesh band are totally comfortable, although my longest wear is maybe 3 hours so far. I'm deeeep into Apple ecosystem, and spent a lot of time building my playlists and podcasts, and between these (dont have other airpods, always had my other brand headphones) and the homepods in my house, the handover is great. Listen in car, hand over continuing in house, and then onto headphones when girlfriend gets irritated. Weight I've not noticed yet, and in space grey (wanted navy to match apple watch, LOL, but didn't have) they look better in person. Only the storage case is a bit naff, but it is what it is. For those worrying about longevity, I think it'll be good, it's REALLY solid, only thing I can see maybe being an issue if you're greasy is the mesh headband.
