  1. Apple Watch 6 with ECG
  2. Cue the haters.... I just took the plunge and got the Apple Airpods Max. Had the Bose for travel, on recommendation, jumped to the Sonys, and honestly... dont see myself going back to either anytime soon. If you're in the Apple world, highly recommended. Just find someone coming out from the US passing through a duty free, and save $65. ANC + Transparency is literally impossible to describe. It really is that good.
  3. I did, and cant believe I fell for the Garmin fanboy hype. It was like I went back to an old 80's Casio. Swapping 830 computer for a Wahoo, so this looks tempting. Not yet, but soon. Just want to lose this Garmin POS and go back to an Apple Watch and will re-evaluate in a year.
  4. Everything is always for sale
  5. That's uglier than Ace Magashule.
  6. Never heard of it, what is it?
  7. New DJI Osmo will break them again shortly.
  8. My 820 battery just doesn't hold any more. I bought two kits together (one for my assistant) and his still works perfectly despite being used way more frequently. Took it in, and laughably they wanted like 75% of the 830 price to "replace" it. At just 18 months and only about 90 rides. Wahoo will have my business shortly because Garmin honestly just didn't give a f*ck to listen to me.
  9. LOL. R20k for a Garmin watch. Suppose the Garmin fanbois are going to go bef0k for these. And it's winter, you can rock your K-Way puffer with it too. "it's a look. it's a lifestyle."
  10. Also as a user of Apple products only, you can stream 3rd party apps if you have an Apple TV 3rd generation or newer. Or at worst, run on iPad and Airplay to your TV.
  11. Fox made a 38 for the fast riders, RockSux had to make something in the category for the slower ones.
  12. still beat me. kont.
  13. December I cannot make, so 2021, here we come. Bummer. In the meantime.... It will take you to your lounge in your underpants.
  14. Less typing, more pedalling.
  15. I'm going to get a new Apple Watch series 5. Have a nice Friday Hubland. The Garmin sheeple must be raging at that.
  16. haha, beat me to it. and an instalment or two for their Fortuners. but everyone knows I'd rather use a sundial than a Garmin again (and yes, I currently have a current one on my arm sadly, and an 820 on my bike).
  17. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I've probably been deemed a low-baller on some offers, but I've always weighed in fairly and explained how I got to the price if it's significantly lower than their asking. Not desperate, but happy to wait, and generally 3/4 times they'll mail a week later asking if I'm still interested. Generally at a much higher price and I then just refuse. My price is my price offered, and I can happily step out of the deal. Generally I'm buying odds and ends only for project builds, so no rush. Then on the other side of the coin I've had some super low-ballers. And instead of OP being riled up and creating a post, I just reply saying "no thanks, not urgent, let me see what comes along". I also do always add in my adverts here that if you make my life easy (bring cash, bank same bank, fetch the stuff) I am open to a pretty low offer. I am amazed at how upset some people get. One friend called me a serious lowballer because I offered a fair bit less for a 26" MTB on here that I wanted for parts for one in my collection. He's got a few ads here too and will not negotiate on a single item. LOL If only more people knew the value of items and how to properly negotiate, and fairly, I think it would be better. Just did this for a piece of land where I offered properly less than asking, but fairly and made it quick and easy for buyer (also stating offer was offer no negs) and they accepted much to the estate agent sitting open mouthed in shock.
  18. What Duane said. And cliff notes for those of us who work all day. haha. As I've learned what the Tokai MTB team put in, I realised that even my ranting during the closed phase (after fires) was uninformed and ungrateful. I enjoy the trails a lot, and the team that organises and builds them not only keeps it open for us, but also safe, I've learned about the security and raising money etc. I dont agree with stuff being deleted (the one downside of this forum compared to others I've seen) so please fill us in. I ride these trails all the time, and would like to ensure they stay open and keep improving as they have been. And for the keyboard warriors? They probably walk over jumps and push their bikes up the hills, and would be the first to quit when times get tough. Ignore the little bitches.
  19. Even little two pots would have stopped those wheels in the air. Stupid is as stupid does. I'll keep my Shimano 4-pots thanks.
  20. offended 101 award claimed! haha, Bikehubbers are sensitive people.
  21. Got some spam email today about some bibs from ASG. So possibly?
  22. I did the Houw Hoek tour last year on a borrowed 2018 Giant Anthem 29er. Was damn impressed with it. Modern XC bikes have come a long way, but back to back with a trail bike? I'll choose trail every day and again on Sunday, and even on day 4 of a stage race.
  23. You may be surprised. I can only think that the 100mm bike has a lower handbar position in switchback climbs. My trail bike with 2.4WT tyres (although will put on an Ardent Race for S2C next month, but leave Minion SS on back) and 140mm travel and trail pedals probably weighs less than most XC dualies, but if I put the DPX2 rear shock in the middle position and the fork with slightly more LSC, probably just as efficient at climbing too. But on the downhills? Yeah, well....
  24. Trail bike. I'm about to do Sani2C on my trail bike, and with 140mm front and rear, should be great fun.
  25. I'm not even a member and I get it. Never read it, "deeeleeeetteeee". Rode Hoogies yesterday for the first time in ages, with the extension bit. It's brown, it's covered in flies, it's drier than the Eskom bank account, but it was fun. Just the dude in the Polo at the bottom shouting at people... eish.
