  1. Same side knobs, DHR2 just has a better transition as there's those offset mid-knobs, which the DHF doesn't have. Bos - of those I'd go with the DHR2 in 2.4WT guise, due to the better transition. I do not like the Ibex AT ALL (it slips all the time in my experience, and many other peoples' experiences, but you may get on with it better) Another option would be the new Spaz Eliminator in GRID casing. It's their answer to the Assegai, and Thermophage is REALLY liking it. More than the Mary, in some areas (loose over hardpack & dusty dusty)
  2. Standard operating procedure for all courier companies when dealing with imports.
  3. oooooh, bean chilli con carne... Brown rice / jasmine rice, chilli, garlic, onion, tomatoes, butter / kidney / green beans, coriander & a lekker dose of fresh lime & lime zest (and creme fraiche) NOM.
  4. That looks absolutely delicious, Uni.
  5. One of my lighties' favourite movies, this...
  6. Limit on actual cash back is I think R 1,000 per month (R 4,000 spend) ONLY a bike can be put on the BikeBooster, ONLY through Cycle Lab ONLY a fitness device on the list can be put on DeviceBooster, through SW or TS ONLY a pair of shoes can be put on ShoeBooster, through SW or TS Only one of the above can be active at a time. I would think that an IDT would qualify for the normal 25% HealthyGear cashback, though.
  7. DILLIGAF, essentially. Post-count is a by-product, and not the goal. Minimising it even further this year, though, is.
  8. yeah, any personal expenses / holiday expenses are solely for your account, as they would be if she took him on holiday. Imagine if she all of a sudden requested more maintenance so she could take him somewhere? Same thing, just reversed.
  9. No cons. Only a reduced premium to VA. You'll have to add her to your med aid / life policy (with Child SIB at a nominal amount) to get her on, so you'll be paying more to Vitality and Disco as a result, but that's it. Unless, of course, she's already on your med aid / life pol and you just need to add her to the VA benefit.
  10. I'm back in. Didn't really leave, actually. Will update the spreadsheet with my NYD weight of 99.5kg. Mini goals: 95kg by March 31st 90kg by June 30th Will then reassess and see what's potting. May go down to 85 if I'm still not 100% satisfied, but those last 5kg (if I go down to 85) will be difficult. For now: 9.5kg in 6 months to add to the 12kg over 3 years.
  11. short answer - the court doesn't care what the expenses were. You don't have primary custody of your lightie, so your expenses simply don't matter when it comes to calculating maintenance.
  12. That's part of the original irony when used in Austin Powers. BUT. There WAS a striking element to Judo originally, if you go back far enough. In "mainstream" judo, only the groundwork and throwing remain.
  13. HAHAHAHA! Had to, man. Was just too good an opportunity.
  14. well, stepped on the scale this morning and it was a rather dim number, but one that I'll take. 99.2kg after the excesses of christmas, and ending the shambles of a year at under 100kg. Not where I wanted to be, not where I'd aimed for, but closer. On the cycling side I've improved HUGELY on the climbs, which in turn has also led to a more enjoyable descent. Staying with my riding buddies (who are waaaay fitter than me) is a little easier, and I'm not nearly as far behind as I used to be. Still blowing like a whale, but I'm far closer to them and much stronger. New year = new starting position, and some revised / new goals but also some of the same. I'm not HAPPY with where the weight is, yet, but I'm getting there. Suppose I'll have to change my sig as agreed on the other thread.
  15. That's Rietvlei next to the R27 coastal road, if I'm not mistaken. Between Sunset Beach and Tableview. Flamingo Vlei on the RHS of the pic, and Sunset beach between the vlei and the ocean
  16. Agreed. Not to mention the cheesy-as-faaaark soundtrack. I mean, really!? WTF was it? Was mucho disappointed.
  17. Agreed with the vegetable food side as well. A good veggie burger (mushroom / chickpea / whatever based) can be amazeballs, if done properly.
  18. Even though I'm not a vegan by any stretch of the imagination, I still get excited about things like this. It IS the future of meat-for-food, IMO. @odinson, what's your take on this? I think it's excellent, but not sure how you'd consider it, seeing as it's still an animal product at its core. No animals were harmed in the making of this product.
  19. yeah, I saw that. It's the first time I've seen continentals run wider than what it says on the sidewall. They're notorious for being over-stated. That's why I was kinda doubtful when you said they were wider than 2.4.... BUT. Schwalbe & WTB are the same. 2.35 schwalbe is bigger than 2.5WT maxxis. My old 2.3 WTB Wolverine was also bigger than a 2.5 Maxxis.
