  1. The larger bearing should be a 6805 2rs same as the shimano, etc. external bb. The smaller one is 6902 2rs IIRC.
  2. I've ridden Neverland a few times, it's quite fun a bit short though. One day decided we would ride along the hiking trail/contour towards Orangekloof, was a bit of portage involved but pretty cool. Also possible to ride from East Fort up towards Blackburn Ravine.
  3. Not a bad idea this. Also check out on-one.co.uk, they have some decent CX frames there too

  5. WRT widening the chainstays, Google "dimpling chainstays". Speak to a frame builder about how difficult it would be to put on disc brake or cantilever brake tabs. David Mercer put a disc brake mount on my old Diamondback. Not so sure about putting disc tabs on the fork though
  6. Cool. Usually I'm the one asking guys to ride at ridiculous o'clock.
  7. Next time you're in the area. Give me a shout
  8. Gonna check it out tomorrow
  9. I won't post a pic of my stash then
  10. Lol You guys have made me thirsty. Now the decision is between a Windhoek or Johnny Walker Black Label
  11. Johnny Walker?
  12. Good point Straighten the hanger, BUT install a new one. Keep the "straightened" one in your camelback just in case EDIT: Reminder to self, get a spare hanger
  13. Technically the max. capacity of the long cage is 43t and the medium 35t. The only time you'd need a full 43t capacity is if you are severely cross-chaining. i.e. large front & large rear (42t+36t = 78) as well as small front & small rear (24t+11t = 35) (78-35 = 43) If you say more used large chainring and 2 down from the largest sprocket (42t & 28t = 70) and smallest chainring and second smallest sprocket (24t & 13t = 38). Even this is fairly extreme IMHO. Then the capacity required is 33t, which medium will happily cater for. In practice, I buy what I can afford/get hold of. Wanted a medium cage shimano clutch RD, could only get a large so that's what I have, works great.
