  5. Well, most road bikes could take your weight. The wheels might suffer a bit tho, as for size, measure your inseam in cm, then multiply by .65 to get your frame size in cm....if ur older than 30 take a 2cm smaller frame than what the .65 gave you, that's my advice.
  6. I don't like the botties road, too much traffic, the best road is the one to Malmesbury, it was magic this morning out there! I passed about 30 riders....1's and 2's we could have formed a HUGE pack..sigh!
  7. I also did that once trying to get a crank off a spinning bike, I used a hammer and Q 10 to get it off afterward, it worked. Ahh the old 600 cranks, just tap it lightly with a hammer that's my advice, if you have a rubber hammer even better! JPW#2008-12-05 10:39:34

  11. The most important thing about sizing is your age, u cant set up a bike the same for a 22 and 42 year old, your back stiffens up as you age.
  12. A friend of my dad can bring in Diesel from Angola for R2/L, and still make profit, gov is still milking us.
  13. Can't greet everyone in the WC on training rides, I pass 150 bikers, u cant greet everyone, ull never train, ull just greet !
  14. I have no idea, Andrag was the place to be 10-15 years ago, Huge packs everyday from 5pm.
  15. The two best athletes i've met, both did diving for years ( spear fishing and snorkeling) that will get ur Vo2 max up.
  16. L Scott will be right, depending on your age, older....smaller frame you can ride due to less flex in ur back.
  17. Hope you don't have one of those carbon bars with the metal inserts at the end! I wouldn't cut 1 of those.
  18. 160 bucks is a bit steep, not sure what the Argus/Pick n pay Mafia charges these days.

  21. I think Pedal Talk is talking ...Pedal! lol Mtb is too expensive these days, the running costs = insane if you ride often.JPW#2008-12-02 05:00:34
  22. U cant take cycling too serious in SA, the money is not there, the best athletes in this country don't even go overseas to race, too risky to leave everything, they go study and get high earning jobs.
