  1. All set! Tented camp of fun here we come
  2. Wish I had friends like that! Would look a treat on my rootbeer Niner.
  3. Looks awesome the green rims on that frame are the BUSINESS!!!! Mind if I ask where you ordered them from?
  4. Check out the Ragley's as well while you're at it...
  5. Hairy the bike looks great! I am a fan of all black but the white sadddle etc actually works really well on that bike. Hope Rommel serves you well and that she keeps bike itch at bay....for a while at least.
  6. Glenn's old frame? If so I came very close to having that bike in my garage now.... How much travel on that fork?
  7. How about a teaser there Flowta, what are you glueing together this time?
  8. They had an Elsworth Evolve 29er dually DEMO there on Monday which had me drewling badly so ya, they still do demo's. I'm struggling to forget that particular sample as it was oh so beautiful.
  9. Thomson or nothing. I have a 410 length 31.6mm diameter spare if you are looking for one...PM me if you're keen.
  10. OK I wasn't going to post this on the hub as I'm not proud of it and it certainly isn't something to brag about or show off but if enough people feel seeing a picture of the price of running your tires too flat I'll put it up...who is in?
  11. Have had it happen with a proper Kenda UST tire on a proper tubeless rim....pumped it up quite hard after topping up with Stans...left it in the back of my bakkie in the sun under a black tonneau cover...pressure + heat = BOOOOOMMMM!!!!! After that the beading was ruined and I had to chuck the tire away. Replaced it with a non UST WTB Exiwolf on the same Tubeless rim....Following a recent mishap with a tire burping landing on the flats after a jump causing a serious wipe-out I think I'm going to be running proper UST exclusively going forward. Though I may have been riding them a bit too pap.....my fault I guess.
  12. This one would get my money. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/17497-ellsworth-glimpse-frame-fox-fork-used-26-inch/
  13. This has got the be the WORST thread in the world when you're out of action. OR the best...dunno, can't decide...either way keep up the good work guys.
  14. The last minute or so is G-Spot in Stellies
  15. These won't break the bank. www.thehubsa.co.za/forum/classifieds/ad/19228-26-inch-wheelset/
  16. Lerouc I have a set of WTB Lazerdisc Trail on XT hubs I'm not using you can take a look at if ure keen...am at home couch bound with a broken ankle at the moment so give me a buzz and make a plan. If you want u can use the front wheel till you get yours sorted as long as its not forever and as long as you don't fall this one in its chops as well...you chops it you bought it. My number is Oh eight freee seex ate seben free for seben naain.
  17. I cracked my Trek Fuel EX8 2008 model. Just Fun sports replaced it with the 2011 Fuel EX9 frame and included a BB30 and new headset to fit my non-tapered steered and normal external BB. Yes it took a hell of a long time for them to settle the replacement claim but I was very pleasantly surprised and happy when they, without putting up a fight about it supplied the parts I needed to make my old components work on the new frame. If your LBS is charging you more than R300 to rebuild the bike try using mine...PM me for details. Anyway it's a small price to pay for a bike that looks brand new and in the case of a dually you score with new pivots, shock etc as well. Enjoy your new ride.
  18. Hope you're OK Tank....Bastards!
  19. Probably not the best time to be doing it but you're better off buying one off Gumtree or TheHub, I bought a Holdfast stand-on three bike rack for R1000.00 complete with lights and number plate board so look around, you should find something....you may just get lucky.
  20. No joy on a Gobi. Best saddle I've used is On One's Bignose...cheap and cheerful and no ass damage after a 15 hour Trans Baviaans...wonderful. Got a Brooks B17 on my SS which is in a different world of comfort altogether but feel too sorry for it to use it in the wet months so it doesnt really count...
  21. Where did that happen Jan? Mate of mine has been jumped on the R44 on the last hill before SSW coming from Stellies side.
  22. Nice post Zeabre, keep up the good work. My commuting has been fairly eratic...as Hairy says, day three is usually the hardest and I take strain keeping my eyes open after dinner at night...but hell, when considering the alternative there is no nicer feeling than an early morning offroad ride on the way to work.
  23. Your wife says it's cool, want me to pick you up on the way through?
  24. All you hear all day long on the Hub is how great Grabouw is until I get the chance to go for a sneaky ride and then suddenly noone wants to speak to me. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/111010-grabouw-tomorrow-anyone/ Crikey what do I have to do to get someone...ANYONE...to come ride with me!??? Anyway off to Eden soon...the sweet holy mudbath awaits. Have a good one gents.
  25. Is this 40km MTO ride you refer to a marked route or do you just wing it? Other than in races I haven't ridden Grabouw forest in ages. Went to Oak Valley again two weeks ago and while good flowing I fun was a bit disappointed in the rush factor...nothing very technical there though I think that is the tip of the iceberg as to what is available in that area...I need to spend some time there with someone that knows it well. Jonkershoek offers some of the best variety for me. Eden is always a jol when you have two hours to kill...so much rollercoasterness.
