  1. A lower is the portion of the bib to about the waist section, the upper is everything above that. So you can mix different size bibs for the best fit. I have a tall buddy, but hes very thin, takes a small bib around the waist and thighs etc, but the top half needs to be a large or hell turn into a hunchback because of the small upper that comes default with a small lower. Imagine taking a large bib and a small bib, cutting them in half and joining them together.
  2. Yes, obviously more orders mean cheaper price, but they do small orders for sure.
  3. When it comes to sizing, Anatomic will cut up a bib to give you different sized lowers and uppers. So you can get a small lower, and a large upper for the funny fits. For shirts, you can adjust the length anywhere around the top if needed so its highly customisable. Best advice is to go to their shop and try on different sizes.
  4. Manie at Anatomic, just off the N1 at koeberg intersection (northgate park I think) Weve just put in an order with them, and have been ordering for the last number of years. New styles are quite nice. 3 sets of custom elite shirt prints and elite bib prints only cost us around R6800 inc vat. Definitely worth it.
  5. Theres a podcast on Noakes explaining that you can eat carbs the night before a race/ride and it should be stored in your muscles for use the next morning. Dont eat too much obviously and it has an amazing difference on your legs. The extra glycogen boost you otherwise lack. This doesnt effect the fat burning at all. I take 2 spoons of natural honey the night before and I think it works.

  8. look for the Camelbak XTC, 3lt hydration pack with arms around the waist for hold. Works very well, cycling or running. Looks sort of like an X on your back. Saucony Peregrin or Xodus shoes are absolutely amazing.
  9. Yeah Dom, I am moving away from MCT, actually prefer a bit of coconut oil instead, not nearly as heavy on my stomach. That said, I usually just load up my eggs with some oil and keep it out of my coffee all together these days.
  10. The bug bit not long ago. Absolutely love hiking and trailing in general, and well now im at a point where walking is just too slow. Think I went a bit too quickly into it as I now have issues around my ITB and hip rotation etc. Physio will get it right then im back on the trails. Hope to enter my first trail run early next year.
  11. At least that ale was pretty good for the wait. Im pretty toasted now, legs are taking the weekend off. Never expected such tough climbs, and the last one was the straw...
  12. Thanks, although have a buddy going through tomorrow to collect his number so will sign the necessary and get him to collect ours. Dont want to risk it.. They should have this information on the website to be honest, and at least answer calls or reconfirm the registration details on the voicemail since that is probably why their voicemail is full.
  13. Guys, can we register on friday before the race? It says registration is only tomorrow in stellies? I assume this isnt the case?

  24. According to my GP, all low carb diets end up with elevated cholestorol in the first 2 months. He went on to say, do not get tested during this period. Wait 2 months or so then test and it should be more accurate.
