  1. Go walk some more. I Do.
  2. No mentioned shammy cream........... It also helps. A Bit, but you are gonna have to get the ass and saddle mated.
  3. Remember how everyone was up on arms at Johan's recommendation of drilling holes in the BB to allow water out. and how everyone said it would weaken the bike. Well looking at the Paris Roubaix bikes and all the holes drilled is way more strategic places for through frame cable routing. I think he may have not been that misguided. I think putting a hole in the down & Top tube as well as headset tubes is more of an issue. Just a thought...........
  4. Yes you can, but that does seem a bit high. Y what you need to look at is your usable heart rate. I.e. the difference between your resting and max HR.
  5. I like the round ones......... Hat, Coat, gone,,,,,,,,,
  6. Same company now. Part of Sportsmans so whatever.
  7. Never, I repeat Never get a Trek/Garry Fisher. The local support sucks, wait let me think about that, it is off the sucks scale. So unfortunately not.
  8. In that price bracket?
  9. I am also happy for the way the rode and kept fighting, but the moaning and groaning and excuses piss me off. Also why try and "win" the race off the trail. disappointing...........
  10. What 29'r will be best value in this proce bracket and what will the weight be?
  11. When will the local pros stop making excuses? DG disappointed me today again. Grow up man!
  12. I have done 3 x Epic, and all the training for them and all the other races and only had 1 puncture. Riding tubeless with Stans. An then the puncture was because the stans was toooooooooo old and there was nothing left inside.
  13. I don't know. A few years ago, actually many years ago, i thought I would do my first XC race at Zewenwagt. Just a lowly provincial race, but man o man, I thought 50% of the course was unridable. Until I HTFU and then it was a breeze. Things have not changed much. This is a good thing. It forced me to get skills. Sadly I have lost most of them again and now I am a pissy allover again. So HTFU!!
  14. All comes down to money. how much are they prepared to pay Discovery for the right to be associated. It is a business after all. This way Polar sort of protect thier market share. and I believe there will only ever be one partner. so it if is Garmin there will only be garmin and nothing else. uose your head man.
  15. Well at least if you get the 29r it is cheap to go to 27.5. just change the tyres and rims. wait what would that give you a 28??
  16. Hate to ride this in the mad. don't know what it will weigh then.
  17. I Think the aim of this ad is to promote safe cycling in general not one specific aspect. Even if her saddle is too low!!
  18. Dude what planet you from. the Ad promotes safe cycling AND WEARING A HELMUT DUH!! Watch it again and see the message, this could be you if you don't wear a helmut! Dead! See them pulling the sheet thingy over the camera???
  19. Beer glorious beer and more and more and more and more.....
  20. Gecko Cycles or CWC
  21. PPA seeding is confused. I have still not ridden a race this year and my road seeding has gone from B to J to C to K and my MTB from B to K now to D. WTF??
  22. Snip Coming down a guy from Team Aurecon came flying past - what I suspect was the lead man for the Vets racing bunch (%). I broke away from the group and rode with him for a while - until the beginning of Vissershok - my legs couldn't go anymore. Swallowed a Gu and hoped for the best. The rest of the Racing Vets and Ladies passed me at the base of Vissershok as well..... oh and guess who I spot - one of the guys we dropped along the way. He just latched on the back of the Vets bunch and wheel sucked all the way to Vissershok. That irritated me. Snip what is the difference?
  23. Disk brakes, rim brakes? if they are binding you will see or hear it. With rim brakes you can release the cable/calipers and spin the wheel and see if there is a difference. With Disk brakes you can normally look down at the caliper and see if the pads are rubbing. I know mine rub a bit sometimes as one of the pistons don't always retract right away. Remember MTB feels and just is waaaay harder than a road bike. 30kmph on a road bile with the same effort on an MTB will prolly be about 23-4kmph on MTB for the same route if you are lucky.
  24. So PPA is not so bad Hu?
