  1. Must say that looks like a nasty little A Bridge on top of that hill. Not carrying much momentum when coming up there, I am sure!!!
  2. This puts his 55 minute Red route KOM into perspective
  3. There is a guy advertising carbon repairs in the classifieds. I am sure that steerer can be repaired.....
  4. Remind me not to buy a yellow Niner fork when it comes for sale in The Hubsa classifieds!!!
  5. Something that is becoming more and more of an issue, is the Spruit route being used by quads and Enduro Bikes as a race track. We were almost run over again by a quad and a enduro bike on the stretch by the golf club yesterday. Has anyone else experienced this and what can we do about it?
  6. So is my understanding correct. The route starts at Kloofzicht, then goes down past the Nedbank Conference centre, right at the traffic circle, past the lion park all the way up to the T-junction? Then what. Do you then have to cycle back on the tar? Does not make sense!
  7. How did I miss that! Anyone got some pics of these new under passes (Conrad and Jan Smuts)?
  8. Eagle Canyon Cycles?
  9. Dude, I think you are being a bit harsh. It is common fact that when a bike gets stolen it might end up on Gumtree. So the chances are very good that the owner of the bike or at least one of his mates will see this ad. If the guy wanted to keep the bike he could put up a few small posters on a few lamp posts that's not to visible and if caught could then say "my bad" I did advertise...
  10. Signed it. Only need 640 more to reach their target
  11. Judging by the condition of the front wheel, I think he can be lucky that the fork snapped. It at least dispersed some of the energy. You are right the steel fork would have been fine, the rider no so much.
  12. Hats off to them . That is a proper bridge
  13. Did you guys see this bridge being built in Hamilton Ave, Bryanston. Surely this must be City Parks and not the Spruit fairies?
  14. Are the light ones maybe OEM tyres, i.e. came with a new bike. I have heard (no facts) that lighter/thinner/inferior tyres are put on new bikes to make them lighter when weighed at the LBS by prospective clients....
  15. I have been thinking about the dog on a leash issue on the Spruit. I think it is better if the dogs are not on a leash. Think about it. Mostly now the dogs are all over the place in the veld and hardly ever walking next to their owners on the track. Imagine now, all the dogs on leashes with their owners on the track the whole time. Now think of those long extendable 5 meter leashes that gives the dog some freedom and you trying to get past this getup. No thank you. I would rather go slower for the odd dog the walks in the track, currently.
  16. Dude are you seriously comparing Como to Harties?
  17. Well mr Baker it seems it wasn't necessary to hit that jump to win the race.....
  18. Dont forget the fake wheels, handle bar, stem and even a fake seat, lots of RRR reasons
  19. Bryan is a stand up guy. I don't think he is a Hubber. I will point him to this discussion
  20. Jeesh, how is that Lefty Rigid fork, wow
  21. Apart from the few specials in the brochure, the shop is overpriced as usual. They had a nice Trek single speed at the entrance for R38900....
  22. Ok, Thanks. Toying with the idea of doing in with the SS next year (will be no 10 for me).
  23. Did you manage with the 32x14 up the hills, i.e. Joe Slovo?
  24. Anyone know if Eldron and Iron did sub 3's again this year with their rigid single speed Mtbs with knobblies?
