  5. Looking for some advice What would be a good rear tire for A AM hardtail? ( just take into account that there is no shock and as such the tire will also be pumped slightly harder.) Got some good mileage out of my Ibex but i want to switch to maxxis. Jusst need something that rolls relatively well ( I do the occasional marathon and 50km trail rides ) but can still handle rocky stuff pretty good. Braking is not really a concern cause I'm quite light. Looking at 2.4 maybe 2.5

  9. If all of the above fails drill a 3mm hole in the bolt almost all the way through then take a small "easy out" and put n , the larger ones don't work with cleat bolts ( don't know why) Easy out you can get from chamberlains/adendorf/ builders ect. ect. costs like R80 for a pac of 5 and trust me you use them a lot.
  10. Good tip when looking at a 2nd hand bike , ask to take out the pads even a little misalignment will show up quick on the pad
  11. I'll also confess to being ODC about my cables , Helpful tip get some cable ties from an electronic shop they have many colors and using them to contrast your frame color really works well.

  15. I'm going to be building a boost rear wheel soon with the Novatech Hub ( Not sure how may models they have, but this is a dedicated boost hub) Basically I just wanted : 4 or more bearings 4 prawl engagement and steel inserts on the freewheel. The Hub ticks all these boxes so we'll see how it goes.
