  1. So is there anywhere to ride anymore in northern JHB? -The spruit also is'nt so safe, but it had calmed down of late. I have even seen SAPS on bicycles patrolling. However now, the condition of the spruit prevents riding. -Northern farms?? Well we all know about that place -Kyalami/Bealiue route? Well that still seems to be ok, pretty residential as well. -Bike Park? Not the place to do even 40+km's -Ok then Van gaalens and teak are pretty cool, but are slightly further out. THIS TOWN IS KILLING ME
  2. Ok heres my question for anyone who may know, because this is getting out of hand. There must be a market for stolen hand bikes. There is no way in hell that the okes are stealing these bikes and then selling them to randoms for a few hundred bucks. These bikes are worth thousands, and in my opnion are definately being sold to people who know what they are buying. Are there tracking units for bicycles??
  3. I got one a few weeks back in white LOVING IT!!!!!!! Enjoy bud, it looks awesome
  4. Look I know that the parktool chain checkers dont have a good rep in certain circles. However, I dont have an inch ruler, and have always just used the parktool. On my last bike, I did 700 to 800 k's on a chain before it indicated 0.75 and then I replaced it without batting an eyelid. It has been pretty muddy here in gauteng, but still 200k's is'nt much. I dont think it is a fast one, as the bike was brand new. You could see it was brand new, everything was spotless and scratchless. Im baffled, but R300 now is better than R1k in a few weeks time. Again, never a problem money cant fix!
  5. Hey Peeps, Ive been through a few chains in my time, but I got a new bike 200k's o so ago, and today after the clean I checked the chain and its at 0.75 Has this ever happened to anyone else, because I cant for the life of me figure out why this is already worn out Any comments will be appreciated
  6. Dude, the fact is that cycling is the only sport which has cleaned up its act. Look at the other sports, athletics, rugby etc. Are you trying to tell me those guys are'nt on juice? Its just the way the world works now. Im not saying its right, its terribly wrong and upsetting. But what I am saying is that cycling should be proud of itself for cleaning up the trash!
  7. I am so moving down to the cape next year. Cowteng is for the cows and the criminals. There is nothing to keep me here anymore!!!

  9. I have only had mine for a few weeks now, and have also noticed that the ground clearance at times can be abit on the low side. As this is my first dual sus, im not sure if this is a zula problem, or generally a dual sus problem? Also as far as the cabling goes, I just used a few cable ties and made it look alot neater. Those cable guides seem to work pretty well. Like you said though, I love my bike!!!!!!!Zula2010-04-30 01:52:43
  10. @ Tavis82 & XTC1 I want to try and convert them prob next week to tubeless. Not used to this whole tubes and tyre liners thing Im a heavier ride than 64kg, more like 90kg for me, but the thing I love about them is there rolling resistance. Sure in really wet conditions I think I would suffer a bit, but highveld winter is generally dry so it should in theory be the perfect winter tyre. Also, I have reservations about the conti mountain king, as they dont look like they roll so well on harder surfaces. Lastly I want to try the sb8's as a tubeless, before going to drop R1200 on some new tyres. I have always loved the looked of the sb8's
  11. Thats awesome!! Are you running them tubeless?? I have tubeless rims, but have'nt had the time to try seal them off. They are not the UST version. My concern is that the sidewall is extremely thin. Whats you experience?
  12. I have them back and front on my bike. So far so good, but truth be told I have'nt spent so much time on the bike, as its new. They are fast rolling, thats for sure. I think the issure will come in when its wet and there are rocks etc. There, traction would be an issue.
  13. If you guys need printing, Im your man. PM me and we can sort it out!!

  18. I have'nt done the race, but if you have'nt had any issues with your larsens, I would'nt change them. One thing I would recomend, you should probably be running tubeless, as I think that part of the world, there are a zillion thorns. Other than that just take a spare tube or 2 and some bombs
  19. I was told the weight is 11.8kg without pedals, but to be honest I have'nt weighed it. go to www.rushsports.co.za and speak to andre. They in martizburg, but there is a rep up here.

It really makes a difference for a first time buyer where every cent adds up. I mean, imagine how much kit you could get for you new place with 75k?? Insane
