  1. They have had stock issues in the past, so before I ordered some shoes, I emailed them to confirm that they were available. I also asked how long delivery would take. That was last Tuesday. I got a reply today ( a week later) saying that they did indeed have stock. But no word word on delivery. I have since bought shoes elsewhere.
  2. Nice! Did you get that front mech sorted out?
  3. Another Parlee. Z5 SL
  4. splat

    SIDIlettos??

    These are for real:
  5. Best design brief ever
  6. Have you posted this on Weight Weenies? They can also be a tough crowd, but a few more bike porn aficionados there
  7. That is pretty good value for money!
  8. CWC seemed to indicate a partnership with CRC a while ago. Is this tweet just coincidental? CWCOnline CWCycles Online mmmm just received a exciting mail from the UK !!!
  9. I dont know what happened there, so will be careful about jumping to conclusions and assigning blame. But I must agree with Garfield 2010 - the amount of damage to the car indicates excessive speed (In my non expert opinion)
  10. Flog it on The Hub or use Avron @ Cycle Traders. You may even be able to trade it in @ Avron if he has something you like.
  11. Kinda silly that the shop sells the shoes without the facilities! Cyclelab should have the little Shimano shoe oven (well, I think I thought I saw one @ Northgate Island)
  12. Someone told be about Loobit the other day. Never heard of it before.
  13. Confront a taxi in the traffic and you will be surrounded by drivers from other taxis all waving sjamboks. Their approach is to be aggressive and intimidate everyone onto backing down. The passengers are also **** scared of saying anything about the driver's behaviour or driving skill technique. They sit in silence as they overtake on blind rises and over white lines into on coming traffic. They say nothing when the driver finishes a Cape Town to East London route, has a p!ss and a KFC and gets back in to do the return leg with no sleep.
  14. The guys on Weight Weenies love the CAAD 10
  15. Isn't that how The Hub rolls on a daily basis? i.e. standard procedure
  16. I was on a coach tour in Paris a while ago and we saw a scooter riding along next to a car kicking his car door @ 80km/h. Welcome to Paris!
  17. The geometry of the frame could lead to a slightly different setup
  18. They only just scaped in with thier licence - lucky! UCI and Johan arent best of mates...
  19. If I were in your enviable position, I would consider the following: Do I have enough saddle to bar drop - that would influence my decision on risers or flat bars. I would look @ width because its a 29'er I would want to match/compliment the brand of my seatpost and stem. That said, I would choose Enve.
  20. That F1 is so understated, it looks almost ordinary
  21. Full carbon wheels usually need specific brake pads. If you switch wheels between your normal alu wheels and your carbon wheels, you have to switch brake pads. Unless you use Swiss Stop Yellow (anyone care to elaborate ?) Be careful with this will affect warantee with some manufacturers.
  22. I am currently using Look Keo 2 Max and have no problem except that I find the cleats are not as durable as the Shimano ones I used to have
  23. That was my 7th DC and probably one of my most enjoyable. Apart from one puncture, we had no incidents. I know of at least 2 other teams that had crashes and last year we had 8 punctures. And we were VERY lucky with the weather! That wind came through soon after we finished and that rain just poured and poured for hours! The organisation at the start and finish was great and marshalling around the course was good too. There were several 'Think Bikes' patrolling the course keeping the riders and motorist under control - a difficult job! I think the behaviour of most of the support vehicles was better this year. There is always the odd idiot here and there who ignores the rules and everyone else around them. The feedbag story has one drawback and that is littering on the course. I am interested to know if anyone went back to pick up the bags and discarded bottles, and tin foil etc. Looking forward to next year!
  24. That okes is gonna need a new back tyre and shorts...
  25. 5:11 was last year's winning time, I think
