  1. Would also like to see the wider options available as rims only
  2. Don't worry. With the price of these things in general; and especially the BMC stuff coming from their Impec projects, I doubt you'll ever see one of these around
  3. Looks a lot nicer than all the other ones popping up recently
  4. Any of the usual sports drinks should be fine; they are generally all mixed according to these guidelines. Go according to your taste, but also then look at how much you would need to consume to get the required carbs in.
  5. Nice.. Might have to go past there and get some... I get irritated with crappy gloves so quickly
  6. Thats it! I'm moving
  7. With all these really cool races in the Cape, I'm going to have to emmigrate to the Cape Colony soon...!
  8. I think my bike must get out of the city more...
  9. I was considering a new road bike upgrade to the propel earlier this year, but this issue swayed me... pitty, as I really like the propel
  10. From what I can remember reading on other forums, the only real long term solution was replacing the brakesets... As for sourcing Fouriers - not a clue
  11. Any indication on price and availability?
  12. If you don't understand the difference, then read something like DCRainmaker or similar
  13. What are you on about? Smart trainers - "Set resistance or power threshold through your chosen smartphone app for the most efficient workout possible." The trainer maintains power independent of RPM etc. All other trainers provides you with you power output, but does not control it. Typically your power is RPM dependent, and you control the workload manually.
  14. Two different things! Wattbikes (as with many other trainers), are commonly known as 'dumb' trainers.
  15. That wat tough! Was also still okay going up (and down) Breedt's, but the ride back killed me... Good reality check on how unfit I actually am!
  16. Penta (Medical Systems) have the rights to Wattbike in SA. They are the same company supplying Technogym equipment. Unless you are a BIG end user like Virgin Active, you simply don't get feedback from Penta. A while ago I needed some parts replaced, after several months I ended up having to import directly from the manufacturer overseas, as the local agents just wasn't interested in my small business. Do I like a wattbike? Yes, even thought it is a dumb trainer. Would I buy one? Nope, support sucks!
  17. So, how bad is the road surface over Breedt's?
  18. I'm 41, my true HRmax is 155.. So even though I can reach the theoretical 80%, I cannot maintain it for long enough to get descent points
