  1. Received this press release from the CTCT: Cape Town Cycle Tour general entries open next week on first come, first serve basis.
  2. We're all friends, aren't we?
  3. Have you ridden a GiddyUp Tranny? The longer forks are much-needed to balance the bike with the rear.
  4. It's an XL. I'm 193cm long.
  5. That has been my experience on a number of occasions with Evoc bags. Perhaps why I assumed the one dimension only. Now let me go clean out my #fakenews posts.
  6. My understanding is that not one dimension must exceed that length. Not the total of all dimensions. Otherwise, you'd struggle to get an unboxed bike on board.
  7. I'm sure this has been mentioned before but the requirements are clearly explained here: https://www.emirates.com/english/help/faq/3138254/what-is-the-baggage-policy-for-itineraries-beginning-in-africa 2 pieces at 23kg each not exceeding a total dimension of 150cm.
  8. Hi dtoitj5 Do you have any details of the spammer that approached you through Bike Hub? We'd like to look into it.
  9. The winner of the Santa Cruz / Juliana is a super excited Michele Harvey. On behalf of TokaiMTB, thank you all for your generous donations. The proceeds of which will be going into the trails very shortly. TokaiMTB will be reporting the amount raised soon.
  10. The draw is happening around 10:30 this morning. The winner will be contacted shortly after.
  11. The Juliana colour schemes are easily my favourite in the industry.
  12. Two Dig Days in Jonkershoek this month, on the 14th and 21st of July. Dig Day 1 https://www.facebook.com/events/690036387868902 Dig Day 2 https://www.facebook.com/events/147947412444304 Make sure to RSVP on Facebook if you want to attend.
  13. You're not the only ones. Here at Bike Hub HQ, we're seriously questioning why we ever got involved in the first place.
  14. Don't read too much into the order numbers. Entries aren't quite there yet. But there is a steady flow of donations with some very generous donors.
  15. Event Name: Grahamstown 2 Sea When: 9 July 2017 Where: BUCO, Rautenbach Road, Eastern Cape Category: MTB G2C 2017 sponsored by BUCO is just around the corner – make a date with your bike and join us Sunday July 9! We start 8h30 – nice and late – so no hurry before the gun goes off for 58kms of some of the Eastern Cape's most fun mountain biking. Start in Grahamstown, finish in Port Alfred. The route is fun and friendly to beginners and a furiously fast challenge for those who want to race. Single track, jeep and dirt roads. Swoopy downhills, a (small) sting in the tail. 16. Yes, we're busying putting it together. It'll be promoted on the site so you shouldn't miss it once entries open.
  17. For what it's worth: I reviewed the high-end carbon Jeffsy in a large. I'm 1,93m. I would have preferred an XL but I fit ok (just squeezing enough leg reach out of the seat post) and had lots of fun on the bike.
  18. Apologies, I was awaiting his reply before announcing, which I received today. The second winner of the Scott helmet is Zahir Rawat.
  19. Sorry, I haven't been following this discussion. Is there anyone who can help Philip on Twitter with a GPX file? The event organizers appear to think that someone here is sharing the GPX file
  20. Apologies for the delay. The winner of the 2017 Epic Photo Competition is Sam Clark. His photo from Stage 3 received 31% of the votes. The winner of the print copy will be contacted via email shortly. Thank you all for voting.
