  1. TL:DR version: put aside personal demands for the greater good. Works every time, and you won't be impoverished. Yet they say world hunger cannot be solved. ya nee sure.
  2. i like the sole comment that article attracted.
  3. based on the 2011 movie. First ep was pretty good. Long time to wait for E02.
  4. yesterday I noticed these in the recent SS 2019 Fox MTB clothing release vid. Fox playing coy with me by saying it's 'maybe something new'. Not even Vital or PB noticed it until i pointed it out. #first #onlycountsifyouactuallypostedacomment
  5. exactly how I ended up with two PMs.
  6. thanks for attempting to solve my problem added to what travisza pointed out, it wasn't a deliberate choice to have two: my trainer wheel has a hub based power meter. Pure coincidence that i have two,but it is of interest to check the response times and power numbers of one against the other.
  7. don't forget to remind him to bring along a taser or telescopic baton, or chainmail etc...
  8. love the variations of this song, pretty much a testament to the timeless nature of the Kate Bush original. I find this song very emotive for some reason. Like the Placebo version, this latest cover is pretty good too. https://youtu.be/6wN8Eu9UjIo
  9. another potentially interesting one. looks gritty. Reminds of Titans, but an opposing version
  10. Same here: on a Dell 24". but it's starting to feel really small, not because of gaming as such, but as a work tool: i tend to work with a lot of documents simultaneously. Sure, docs can be snapped to share the screen space, but then the font gets really small, and zooming in narrows the FOV (i read really fast!) So a bigger screen seems to be the way to go. Did the dual screen setup a few years ago. was nice enough, except for that middle deadspace. Back then, bezels were practically landing strips for jumbo jets

  12. any recommendations on a sweet gaming monitor. Nothing overthetop in terms of price (it's never worth it given the very quick new screen development times), 27" or greater, curved, freesync compatible, preferably FS2. Currently top of the list is the LG 34UC79G (FS rev 1.)
  13. interesting..
  14. van Dussen is a f'ing terminator. Strolls to wicket: plunders runs. goes back for harddrive defrag and then into sleep state. Haven't seen such poise and confidence from a newb in yonks!
  15. if you value grip over everything else, then E13. Granted, i'm referring to rev 0 of E13. I have rev 1 in the corner here. I really hope they resolved that rolling resistance problem. Riding with those rev 0s felt like your big was kitted with a drag chute permanently deployed. But for a first try, the grip of that tyre was stupendous, besting even the much loved magic mary.
  16. Enjoying Coroner S01 and S02 of Star Trek. Building Alaska, and very much looking forward to season 19 of Grand Designs. Ep 1 of Grand Designs building of the year is on youtube, in two parts. Must find the rest.
  17. I hope this thread covers Kickr Snap as well So for those who do own this indoor tormentor; have you noted a slow/variable response to power levels when in erg mode? For instance, when whatever app is being used to demand a certain power output, it feels like the IDT is slow to achieve the required resistance or it comes on in fits and starts. For instance, going from 80% FTP to 140%, my hub power meter is indicating i've reached the desired power, but trainer road power indication shows I'm lagging behind, but eventually catches up so that the hub power meter reading and the IDT reading/demand are the same. Wheel slip? It's abit annoying because trainer road will indicate I'm running a deficit in power level, all because I did not seem to get to the required power level at the start of the interval. I'm aware that erg mode responds to cadence when determining what level of resistance to apply. I've noted that on trainerroad, the power level deficit is bigger if I go into the start of a higher power interval with a high cadence (which is what is required during the lower power recovery sessions). I can reduce the deficit by slowing the cadence and then ramping up to meet required power levels during the last 2 seconds of countdown to the next interval. the closer I start to the start of the interval, the lower the deficit. If I don't micromanage the situation to that level, I get slapped with a deficit. I feel this is the Snap's behavior more than Trainerroad, as the same behavior is noted when using Rouvy. But open to alternate perspectives and guidance
  18. Fess up: you didnt wake up early enough!
  19. The recent Pinkbike review very politely slammed the geo. Seems steep ST newfangled geo is very catchy ...
  20. how many more odd questions in that series?
  21. similar wear patterns too? it's interesting that there's a preferred direction of turning. Grease mOnkey: mayhem: what's your dominant hand and foot?
  22. you seem to either anchor harder, or rail it harder, when hitting right hand corners
  23. nah, he's busy cheating on Mary with Eli.
