  8. Hi, I have also just fitted a 11/28 with a standard 53/39 crank. Works fine and there is always a gear to suit what ever mood you are in. Regards Sarge
  9. Hi pee experts, There was mention of a "bos ***" in one of the previous pages. MMMMM. I believe that the worst is after you have finished and look around to admire your handy work, you cant find it - it's gone. Have a great day Sarge
  10. Hi, Def no debate here. In the rough stuff the bike wants to chuck you off if you are not cleted in. The cleats keep you part of the bike, and thus more control. Regards Sarge
  11. Hi Rouxtjie, I like your style. The only problem is that when you wake up in the morning you have to first find the wheels, and then find out if the wheels are fixed, and then the worst of all is that you have to sort out the mess that you have made all over the house. Have a good day Sarge
  12. Hi Greg, I went through the whole confusing thing a little while ago. I read everything, without solving my problem, and then just went out and fiddled. You should do the same, it is the best way to sort out how it works. Regards Sarge
  13. Hi all, Yes this is the NO1 read for the morning. Thanks for the smile. Regards Sarge
  14. Hi Smolster, If you have them, use them Regards Sarge
  15. Hi Eddie, I ride a Guerciotti with a Dura ace group set which might be frowned on , but what the heck ride what you want or what is best for your pocket. Perhaps later you can satisfy the traditionalists. I think both group sets are very good and will work perfectly. Regards Sarge
  16. Hi, Yes, it is always sad when a person is lost on the roads. Sarge
  17. Hi, when joining a club you get the opportunity to meet other like minded people. You get to ride with new friends and there is nothing better than sitting around a table with a good cup of coffee( or whatever )discussing what went down and what to do on your next ride. There is also always somebody fitter or stronger than yourself who will push the pace so your fitness will improve as a spin off. But my feeling is that not every ride is a race so the best thing that you will get is the pleasure of a pleasant ride with a bunch of good people. Regards Sarge
  18. Hi Swany, I do think that the gents that have answered your question are 100% correct in what they say, but if finances are a problem then buy what you can afford. Two weeks ago I bought a new Giant Trance to replace an old Giant that I have had for the last eight years. It weighed a ton, had v breaks, hard tail and no tubeless tyres, but I had the best fun in my life on it. I rode it a lot, entered a lot of races where other riders had a giggle, but it never let me down. So do what ever you need to,but get out there and ride. Regards Sarge
  19. Hi, I have always tried to use their products, I think they are good. The only problem that I have had lately are the inconsistancy with their sizes. Have a great day Sarge
  20. Hi Gents, Not to change the theme/topic but whenever I see the twisty roads with brick or stone walls on each side reminds me of the Isle of Man TT. Very frightning!! Regards Sarge
  21. Hi, I think all of your comments are spot on. Do you not think that the difference could be in a bunch ride where it is going to make it easier to get past another rider with less effort on a light bike? This could give you a bit of help to position yourself where you have an advantage. Regards Sarge
  22. Hi Chubba, Who stocks this "super lube". Please drop me a PM. Thanks Sarge
