  1. Unfortunately I've only seen diabetes world champs wearing them.
  2. Suppose it's still better than the assholes wearing these stupid mouth shields.
  3. Ferment them and make a hot sauce. They don't last very long unfortunately.
  4. Thought you might have been joking, but then double checked. Think it’s kinda disingenuous to leave out the chitchat from the stats, seeing as it’s a topic of contention. Not gonna lose sleep though. The figure that caught my eye though is the R152m in confirmed sales. Makes sense now that someone wants a slice of that pie.
  5. This show's not everyone's cup of brown, but if absurdity is your thing give it a shot;
  6. Bicycle would be proper f*****. Insurance should have no issue to pay out.
  7. That's pretty much how I do it.
  8. well if it's only 100 mm wide shelves, keep it even simpler and just use pocket holes from the bottom. Maybe a dowel or cut off coach screw (as someone else suggested) for extra insurance.

    Stand-up

    Dylan Moran is my favourite Followed by Daniel Tosh John Mulaney Tom Segura Matthew Broussard ...of course Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Billy Connolly, Ricky Gervais, George Carlin, Michael McIntyre are all good for a laugh. Problem is we watch most of the comedy shows when we're high, so everything is at least 3 times funnier.
  10. That Canyon looks sweet. I dig this commie too;
  11. Well done. I see there's a cut out for an end vise - what are you going to use for it?
  12. It simple really, fasten to one wall as per your diagram, and make a slot (either rebate or dovetail if you feel adventurous) in the other edge that slides the shelf in perpendicular. Also, 18-20 mm shelves are rather thin, unless you're going for an elegant look. Personally, 32-50 mm is ideal for floating shelves IMO. As much as I prefer solid wood over ply/chipboard, it's a bit overkill to use solid hardwood for something that is not entirely visible, apart from the front edge. . The ones I've made before, I make a sandwich of 3 layers of veneered board. The middle 'layer' is basically hollow to allow for wall mounting slots. Edges are covered in either hardwood or if I can find 50 mm edge banding.
  13. Someone can create a Bikehub chit chat subreddit, and the party 3.5% can move over there. At least that’s the gist of it I think.
  14. If the platform was more user friendly I'd probably have used it. My lack of patience is most likely to blame, but I struggle to navigate or find content once on the site. Most of the time, I land there via google searches.
  15. Did you receive a quote, and did you confirm your approval for the offer? No? Then you're not the dwis, and have no obligation to pay for anything.
  16. What do you do, buy a new brand every time? That's just way too adventurous and risky, might as well do Rampage.
  17. I've had some success with caustic soda and neutralising afterwards with peracetic acid. But it's still like some stains where you get uneven absorption in teh grain. Iirc I experimented with a few species, but specifically with maple to prevent it from going yellow with ageing. 2/10, would not recommend bleaching wood.
  18. Sometimes a person must just get his/her gat in rat and start doing ****.
  19. This one for me, apparently 48 times Spent only 44039 minutes streaming on Spotify this year, which probably makes up 90% of listening nowadays.
  20. Try some Rubio monocoat - use one of the colors that has white pigment in it (either the Natural, Smoke or White), it's super easy to apply, and it'll give a natural look that might suit your wife's need for a lighter, more modern looking finish. https://www.rubiomonocoat.com/en/c/kleuren/cat/interior/rmc-oil-plus-2c#rmc-oil-plus-2c Sand the table down to 180 g, raise the grain with a wet rag between grits, sand smooth, and wipe on wipe off the monocoat. It's a one coat oil finish, easy to apply, easy to touch up, and easy to remove if it doesn't work for you.
  21. If it’s a stationary belt sander with table, just sneak up to your lines with the sander. If you’re just clamping a belt sander in a vice, fashion the same setup that ensures the most control of the workpiece. When your workpiece is smaller than the tool it’s usually safer to bring the piece to the tool. Otherwise make a template of the radius required and use a router with a flush trim/following bit.
  22. Now that's what peak performance looks like.
  23. No, they rather expect user engagement to continue on the same old rehashed topics. I mean, how many times are people still going to get excited to answering the same old questions like how much is import duty on my bicycle that I want to import because local guys are ripping me a new one.
  24. The way forums have been dying off over the years as people move to other social media platforms and reddit, I’d be very wary of over moderation and stymying engagement of users. There are only a handful of forums that survived, and I can think of 5 that I no longer participate in or even visit anymore due to the above, and this will also then be added to that list. Go on, shoot yourselves in the foot.
  25. Stacked wine barrel cradles to the ceiling - which is nerve wrecking and mentally draining the first time, but I'd rather do that than spray a whole kitchen's panels again without a professional setup/spray booth.
