    RIFLE

We used to go through boxes and boxes of ammunition when we were kids, mostly BBB rounds as you mentioned due to the ensuing bruising. But we kept each other on our toes by every now and then sneaking a SG round in there to the unexpected party. No more quick, careless shots without proper bracing after that surprise kick.
  2. Looks good from a distance, but then on closer inspection that’s where it ends. If you’re going to go through all that effort to make an unnecessarily complicated carbon frame at least do the cable routing properly, not under the bb. And that long af seat tube belongs with the relics from 10 years ago.
  3. Try and get it welded, or brazed at least if you can't find a competent welder.
  4. Yeah. Good film. Hugh Grant played a few comedies from that era that was pretty good. Four weddings and funeral also comes to mind.
  5. Yes, and the dimensions are always 1-3 mm thinner/narrower than stated.
  6. Agree, if you go buy Pine PAR from your local hardware store you'll end up paying around R30k/m^3 for the wood - that's about what you pay for oak from a wood supplier.
  7. Basically plug n play. Just connect to your network and sign in with your google account and you should be able to use all the preloaded app straight away.
  8. Get a media streamer like the Xiaomi Mi box. Native smart TV apps stop working because their software are generally not updated alongside the apps run on it. Once an app needs to update down the line it might not be compatible with the current operating system. Google's media players at least provide updates for their systems.
  9. Looks like a dog spoor. Definitely not a leopard or big cat, and doubt it’s a cheetah. Here’s a leopard spoor, from Simonsberg.
  10. Just a lil 4 man tent - only go camping once a year for a long weekend in Dec.
  11. Savages. I even go camping with crystal glasses.
  12. Absolutely digging this guy's drumming.
  13. Shot, I've used Opera for years and then they seemed to lose some appeal. Just downloaded the mobile app and seems way better than others from initial impression.
  14. Those were lockdown prices I referred to. [emoji2960][emoji6] Quality was ok, I just have no idea what my gf paid or the retail price is. IIRC, it’s same owners as Creation btw.
  15. I know what you’re referring to with those bulk wine exported-bottled-labelled oversees wines. This one however is at least a step above that though. The label alone is quite expensive to print if we’re judging it by the label only. It’s been a while but I’d say label alone is about R5 ea if not more.
  16. Overpriced lockdown wine for Tuesday evening here. [emoji38] Went down well with the Moroccan food, but probably not worth whatever my gf paid for it.
  17. Stinkhout or Imbuia? Both available from Rarewoods.
  18. True, I had a board in my lumber rack that I've kept there for ages, saving it for just the right project. Dark, hard, heavy AF with a nice grain. Think I used some of it for mallet handles.
  19. Meranti is a collective name for a number of species/sub species form Indo/Philippines. The wood can vary quite a bit, from light coloured and relatively soft, to dark reddish and hard. Selection is key, but that being said, I personally just don't like to looks of it. It's fine for trusses/pergolas and outdoor furniture or pieces that'll get painted.
  20. Wish they would ship my stuff I've ordered beginning July already. The item got sold, and now I've to wait for new stock.
  21. I won’t deny that, but as long as it’s decent thin rimless glasses I’m happy, it doesn’t have to be expensive crystal. Just no thick glasses that’ll leave a dent in your tile floor if you happen to drop it. Oh, and no coloured glasses either. Those Crystal direct glasses Del refers to is pretty much what I use.
  22. My dad had well over a 1000 bottles at one stage. Eventually he sold off a bunch as they were ageing faster than he could drink and storage conditions weren't exactly optimal - he had to store it in their on-suite bathroom as that was the coolest room on the place we were staying at that time. Kanonkop Paul Sauers/Cabs, Rubicons from 80s and 90s and even a few 70s vintages made up a good portion. On the topic of glass, I flat out refuse to drink out of a thick Spur type glass. If I know we're visiting someone with common glasses I drink beer, and I'll insist on better glasses at a restaurant. Nee sies man, we're not drinking Four cousins.
  23. Did you seal both sides of the plywood? You'd be surprised how much birch ply can also warp from irregular moisture content.
  24. Only got empties to show before they go into the recycling bin;
  25. You should add a sacrificial fence to the mitre saw, will prevent the piece shooting off (kickback or kick forward in this case) into the next century.
