  1. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/2022-scott-spark-integration-for-the-next-generation.html same as what I posted
  2. you guys are a bit late to the party
  3. Lately I just go to VitalMtb or Pinkbike for cycling related info - in general the topics are more interesting. I don't feel the need to discuss NCR, it's just a nice distraction to have and for the most part the discussions were good to follow. I can't say I'm going anywhere specifically. I just know that like other forums I've been part of over the last ~18 years, I will eventually stop visiting altogether. I've witnessed the decline and ultimately death of many forums. One can only do on-topic discussion so many times until it becomes non-stimulating. What usually happens is the "old guard" members become less active, newbies keep on reposting the same **** and everyone else become less inclined to participate.
  4. Suppose you're right. When you find more cycling related news/content on News24 (albeit how low on quality) than here, and only sponsored car articles (and some larger bike brands/cycling events) here, it really has just become a sponsored classified site. Anyway, I'm not complaining - less distractions means less time wasted here which will inevitably lead to me ending up going down a new rabbit hole finding a new hobby while I'm at it... perhaps kayaking.
  5. Yeah, it might have nothing to do with fit and more a case of impact injuries, in which case rest and/or a doctor's visit might be in order.
  6. At least they managed to get rid of that hoernes of cable routing around the BB area for once.
  7. A solution to that would be a deterrent filter right at the start of the trail, like a 3 ft drop or a rock garden littered with baby heads. Go earn your stripes first on the red/blue trails before you crawl down a black line.
  8. The other Afrikaans term for pheromones is one of my favourites; Sekslokstof.
  9. It's quite good, and I like that it's only 6 episodes. Think I'm ready to watch Dark now too after this one. But I'm still most irritated that there won't be a season 3 of Dirk Gently.
  10. A few years ago it was Prius. People will always find something to be smug about and virtue signal. Latest trend is; No one: ... Vaxhole: I got Pfizer, which one did you get?
  11. I kinda see it as a plus now that Tapatalk isn't working. Haven't been on the forum after hours since. And the pain in the ass navigation on the desktop has also resulted in less time spent online during work hours. New site is just too tedious to navigate around. Sure there are some new ways to go about, but when I have to run multiple tabs in order to avoid reloading pages, or having to load 2-3 pages to filter out content I can't be arsed to waste my time.
  12. Dimar bits is probably the best you can find locally. But a screw coming loose does not necessarily make it a bad bit. Imo, Protech bits are crap, but you should probably always use some locktite on the bearing screw or at least check that it's not coming loose - they're made for interchangeability between different size bearings.
  13. That's the problem with forums. No one (especially grown-ups) wants to be moderated. Too much of it, and you kill off the natural flow of communication. Too little, and you risk alienating others by those that can't self-moderate. It's one of the reasons Fb groups have become so popular, anyone can have their own party, and also why so many of the traditional internet forums died out or are ghost towns.
  14. Well, with a name of Sailing Anarchy, it wouldn't live up to its name with silly rules/moderation.
  15. Not the steepest looking track, but mein gott, 90% is off chamber craziness. RIP left side knobs.
  16. My money is on those okes with stupid gravel bikes.
  17. Guys, (TL:DR) surely there must be a faster way to navigate around this site. Where's the drop down menus gone to? One can't be expected to load multiple pages just to go from the forums to a specific classified section and vice versa? Otherwise, it looks okay even though I hate change.
  18. This event popped up on my feed, and I just lol'd at it. This one is obviously for those ex-golfer s-works riding execs.
  19. This is a step in the right direction, doesn't look like an ugly ass fat e-bike and weight is respectable. Maybe in 2 years time I'll buy one when technology has advanced and it comes with a bigger battery and motor all under 17 kg
  20. I went back to commercial lagers. Beck's, Stella and Heineken. Definitely no SAB. Quality is sometimes an issue, but mostly feel the effects of the alcohol too quickly with craft beers. We'll still go to various breweries and enjoy their beers and if there's something interesting I'll take a six pack home.
  21. It's one of those shows I watch every winter. You just realise how bad it must've been in the Ardennes back then.
  22. I've that Bosch. Although it's nice and I got it at a bargain price, it's not the ultimate in refinement of ergonomics. The fixed base takes off quite a bit of weight, making it easier for trimming applications, where a top heavy plunge router can be slightly cumbersome. I didn't bother to try and use it in a table mounted setup. I'd probably buy it again at the same price, but as you say, they're now almost as much as the Festool's 1400w model. Better to check out and demo the units if you're dropping that much $$$.
  23. Fb marketplace. Had my eye on that one too, but cash is tied atm. [emoji17]
  24. The metal snob in me struggle with female vocals. I draw the line at Arch enemy and Eluveitie. This is more towards my liking (it's a pity the rest of her singing isn't more like this feature on Snarky puppy);
  25. + 1 for the variable speed on a router. But don't neglect ergonomics. It's such a useful tool with many applications that you might want to consider a higher end model. If you're planning to mount it in a table, the Triton with an aluminium plate from Jessem or Kreg is great option. I've the 1400w Triton and it's got enough grunt to run big profiles and finger grip/pull bits. As for domino vs dowel joiner jigs. Depends on what you're planning on using it for. Personally, doweling jigs don't appeal to me - they all seem too expensive for the amount of effort that is still required (they mostly seem too tedious). At the end of the day, you'd spend about half of what a domino machine would have cost you, but still have a compromised setup. Is that saving worth it is the question? Don't forget to look at a biscuit joiner, and seeing as you already dipped into cordless Makita ecosystem, they've a nice cordless one too.
