  1. Any love for Picquic multi tool screwdrivers? I use mine more than the Gedore set. Below is the gucci version, at a decent price actually (can’t get it cheaper from Amazon either) from ODO; https://www.onedayonly.co.za/products/39-piece-tool-check-with-tool-set-10-20210225
  2. These 12V Bosch cordless tools are great. No issues being used all day, and battery life is impressive. Being lighter, they're also much easier on your wrists and other joints for prolonged use. If you already have a corded drill, it's a no brainer. If it's going to be your only drill-driver in the house, I'd rather go for the 18V with hammer action for the odd drilling into walls.
  3. Although there is obvious value for any bicycle brand to promote and fund trail building, it becomes easier if you can offset some of that expense by increasing your revenue. Seems only fair. I think it's a great gesture. Other brands should also get on board, as it benefits everyone.
  4. ...and jewelry. You'll see plenty of scratches from wearing rings and bangles around the door handles. And then there's also the makeup build up on the sun vizers, and the white residue on gear knobs and in crevices around the console and steering wheel from all the hand cream women put on.
  5. Lars isn’t even in the game, never mind same league as Larnell. Snarky puppy ftw. [emoji1598]when I’m in the mood, is always followed by some Aristocrats tunes as well.
  6. A couple of years ago, Gedore introduced Carolus as their second label. The Gedore Red label has now replaced this. While Blue is made in Germany, the Red label is made in some other "3rd world" country (might be Taiwan?) at a lower price point. It's seems, over the last year Gedore prices have gone off the chart. You're now paying for the Red what the Blue cost about a year ago. Can't blame the exchange rate for 50+% increase. Perhaps it's just a strategic marketing move, to align Gedore Blue with higher end tools like Snap-on. But, the red/old carolus is considered entry level stuff overseas, and the price point seems much lower there.
  7. Compressors are misleadingly marketed based on the theoretical air piston/pump displacement, instead of its free air displacement (FAD) which is what really matter as you state. Typically FAD is about a third lower than the stated displacement CFM or l/min values. A compressor is a nice to have if you have space. It'll blow the dust off stuff that your vacuum cleaner doesn't get off, but you'll need a decent one for air tools and spray painting. A high duty cycle will kill your underpowered compressor.
  8. Ah. We got a whole trolley set recently for the new maintenance guy at work. Nice tools, never heard if it until a few months ago.
  9. Who’s everyone? Think you need a stronger cup of coffee. [emoji41]
  10. Gotta agree with you. Worst platform I’ve used. Far too tedious and too much effort to navigate, send messages etc. It’s almost unusable from your phone, which in this age is like the worst oversight.
  11. When you start speccing that stuff the price for a kitchen installation basically starts at R200k before adding appliances.
  12. For bacon the 5 s rule only applies to Mystic Boer’s toilet floor.
  13. What’s your source? Dstv decoder or media streamer? If the latter, check if you can connect your hp to the device, it might be the easiest solution.
  14. Used it once, and had good result, so never really bothered to go for a matt finish on wood. Although the Rubio gives a matt finish which is quite nice, and the easiest to apply.
  15. When in doubt, Woodoc 10. Danish oil will turn yellow eventually, and can make lighter coloured wood almost look like pine. Also, worth considering, Rubio monocoat (natural or smoke5%) will remain light.
  16. It's pretty sad that the Stumpy evo won't make it to our shores. On paper it really looks like a great bike. Relatively light frame, endless geometry options (not jut a stupid flip chip on the shock mounting hardware), ability to run mullet setup. You could literally tune your bike for every destination, from flow trails to gnarly steep stuff. The Evo Expert also looks to offer the most value for money I've seen recently.
  17. Ferment them and make a hot sauce. They don't last very long unfortunately.
  18. Thought you might have been joking, but then double checked. Think it’s kinda disingenuous to leave out the chitchat from the stats, seeing as it’s a topic of contention. Not gonna lose sleep though. The figure that caught my eye though is the R152m in confirmed sales. Makes sense now that someone wants a slice of that pie.
  19. This show's not everyone's cup of brown, but if absurdity is your thing give it a shot;
  20. That's pretty much how I do it.
  21. well if it's only 100 mm wide shelves, keep it even simpler and just use pocket holes from the bottom. Maybe a dowel or cut off coach screw (as someone else suggested) for extra insurance.

    Stand-up

Dylan Moran is my favourite Followed by Daniel Tosh John Mulaney Tom Segura Matthew Broussard ...of course Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Billy Connolly, Ricky Gervais, George Carlin, Michael McIntyre are all good for a laugh. Problem is we watch most of the comedy shows when we're high, so everything is at least 3 times funnier.
  23. Well done. I see there's a cut out for an end vise - what are you going to use for it?
  24. It simple really, fasten to one wall as per your diagram, and make a slot (either rebate or dovetail if you feel adventurous) in the other edge that slides the shelf in perpendicular. Also, 18-20 mm shelves are rather thin, unless you're going for an elegant look. Personally, 32-50 mm is ideal for floating shelves IMO. As much as I prefer solid wood over ply/chipboard, it's a bit overkill to use solid hardwood for something that is not entirely visible, apart from the front edge. . The ones I've made before, I make a sandwich of 3 layers of veneered board. The middle 'layer' is basically hollow to allow for wall mounting slots. Edges are covered in either hardwood or if I can find 50 mm edge banding.
