  1. IS there any correlation?
  2. Try not to skimp on a cordless drill. It's such a great tool you can/will use everywhere. Look for one with a hammer action, these things can actually drill holes in walls. 3.0+ Ah batteries ftw. Unless you find something on a massive discount, don't buy something you think you might need. Start/plan a project, and then buy what you need. You don't want to buy stuff you'll never use. While all the tools you listed are very useful/versatile, the stuff is expensive, and money is always the issue, so prioritize your purchases. I will add a router to your list. The versatility of a router is sometimes just unimaginable.
  3. Yeah, one would think that with all the technological improvements in our daily lives that makes us more efficient that we'd be spending less time working...but no.
  4. No, listening to Cannibal corpse.
  5. You're being biased in this, and being deliberately obtuse. Which is not really consistent with your overall postings on this forum. It's about the intent behind those terms. Not the words itself. Pretty obvious, and pretty obvious someone is trying to get a reaction when he's using them. A little too trying too hard, too attention seeking, and kinda cringy. And just for that, I'm going to brutally slaughter some baby cows, rip off the skin, cut their corpses to pieces, drain their blood and enjoy the liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.
  6. Someone should just rename this thread to The Vegan Safe Space.
  7. The first time it was cool. Now it's just; look at me, I also need attention. It's a bit like those annoying kids 'photo-bombing' when there's a camera pointing.
  8. Nitrile gloves offers better protection when working with various chemicals than latex - which is more aimed at biological applications.

  10. Yup, plug and play, with a software update on startup if you're unlucky. Then just download apps from Play store as you would do on your android phone, but most would have Netflix, Amazon prime pre-installed. Bonus is you can download redbull tv to stream mtb'ing.
  11. Bought a Wheels MFG bb from CWC. Asked them if they’ll install it as I don’t have the tool. Yeah sure. Drove through with the bike, get there. They don’t have the wrench and can’t do it. Go home, make my own and sorted in 15 min.
  12. Lol, yeah I got my finger caught in the disc rotor whilst trying to align the caliper. It cut straight through my nail, and then some further into the nail bed. All this while saying to myself, now don't be a ****ing idiot and let your finger slip into that spinning rotor.
  13. I usually fix the bike shops' mistakes. Not the other way around, but then again I'm not one of those mechanically challenged folk in the Verimark adverts.
  14. The x-wing is still the best looking bike out there, IMO. Pity they had to change it, but I suppose after ~10 years it's time for something new and fresh. But this new enduro looks a bit meh. I doubt Spez will even bring this new monster truck into the country. Trail bikes have now been replaced by so-called 'downcountry'. These 170 - 180 mm bikes are more park bikes as you say. But I don't like that more and more trail bikes (~140 mm) have now been replaced by what used to be enduro/all-mountain 150 - 160 mm bikes, like the Canyon Spectral, Santa cruz bronson and YT Jeffsy. Everything is getting bigger and burlier. I personally don't want to ride a 14 - 15 kg trail bike. Oh well.
  15. It all depends on the type of work you're planning on doing. Scroll saws are good for artsy craft type projects, and other intricate cut-out work on stock that is not too thick. A fretsaw (hand saw) can do the same job. Bandsaws are limited in that you can't do cut-out work, but can still achieve quite intricate results with a narrower (1/8 - 1/4") blades. They are more versatile otherwise, and a good bandsaw will see a lot of use in the workshop. They're ideal for ripping rough lumber and resawing. But not all bandsaws are created equal and setup is finicky at the best of times.
  16. It's much less complicated than that. Just find content you both enjoy, and watch whatever you want in your "own" time. If a tv dictates one's life and relationship choices, that person has bigger problems.
  17. Veganic farming? It's called crop production. As if that "Veganaury" wasn't cringe worthy enough.
  18. You'd have to 'clean' up the wood to be able to identify the specie. My money is still on oregon pine though.
  19. Looks like old oregon pine to me. A planer will bring the wood back to life again ready for a new project. Just watch out for nails and screws - it'll ruin your blades/knives. The world is your oyster...
  20. Is it just me, or are all these new bikes ugly AF?
  21. No, They're in the same pool (B) where they'll play each other, and if both teams go further, they'll only meet again in the final. QF 1: Winner of pool C vs Runner up of pool D QF 2: Winner of pool B vs Runner up of pool A QF 3: Winner of pool D vs Runner up of pool C QF 4: Winner of pool A vs Runner up of pool B SF 1: Winners of QF1 vs QF2 SF 2: Winners of QF 3 vs QF4 Final: ....
  22. Copied the Ripmo’s? [emoji2960]
  23. https://www.strandhardware.co.za/nova-drill-chuck-12-2mt You'll need a MT2 adapter though. Give them a call, they have more turning gear than the other dealers.
  24. Trek is making some seriously good looking alloy frames.
  25. Looks like someone made a good looking santa cruz
