  1. It's not wireless unfortunately. If you're going to use it for travelling, not having cables around you is the best thing since sliced bread.
  2. The struggle is real. But I've been guilty of it myself the last 4 weeks. Wrist pain keeping me from riding tech stuff, and the heat just killing all motivation to go for more xc-type rides.
  3. Ouch. Just put up a notification on Gumtree and pounce on it when one pops up for sale. Sometimes there's quite a number of them for sale, around R1k is fair I'd say.
  4. Are you saying we won't get shot if we go ride the black route?
  5. Given that there is a plant and scatter cushions, it's obvious a woman was involved with the interior design. We can therefor assume that it was staged for the photo shoot, and soon after it was replaced with her 'Live, Love, Laugh' poster.
  6. Probably. I told my gf she'd be single if she dares to buy me cycling related apparel, especially that life behind bars shirt.
  7. And IIRC the ave salary at Eskom is R700k p.a. I have this friend-person that was an engineer at Eskom. He was tasked with a project somewhere in the Eastern Cape, whilst being based in Gauteng. The project was supposed to run for something like 3 months, which turned into 6. He later on milked the whole thing to run for ~2 years. Reason why; he received accommodation, and inconvenience pay (x1.5 rate). He even gave up his rent in Joburg during that time and managed to buy a few properties in Cape Town. The rot runs deep.
  8. Nice. My dad has a drawer full of the old (yellow/green cases) Puma knives. Some are worth a pretty penny. Like most collectors items, the value is in the complete packaged items.
  9. What's wrong with it?
  10. My exact reaction when I learned of this. My cousin broke up with his gf, but still managed to get her pregnant after the fact (I think it was entrapment). He can't make ends meet to pay her maintenance, while she moved off some 600 km. Court orders his parents to foot the child support now, even though they were never married or even lived together.
  11. Voted/Liked. Well deserved!
  12. By the time you get it, it'll be so outdated, you might as well just bin it.
  13. Check if the app is on google play store. Then you can get any AndroidTV media box, like the mibox, or nvidia shield.
  14. Apart from that head tube, it looks rather nice.
  15. Going from 23 to 29 mm ID, the only difference I noticed was less twangy pings when cornering over rough stuff. That could just be down to a better bead design.
  16. I've been toying with the idea to get an airbrush setup to do a custom graphic on my frame. Something similar to these.
  17. Shiiiiit, so much want.
  18. My dad was using a huge-ass grinder, cutting above his head/shoulders. Thing ripped out of his hands and the blade ran from his neck down to his shoulders. The angle at which the blade hit him made the damage much less severe. Also, the guy at my dad's work place was cutting metal tubing on the ground, and as he cut through it, it pinched the blade. The blade shattered and cut off his main artery in his leg. He bled out in less than 5 min. Scary AF.
  19. Yoh, respect to those glasses. I've a bad habbit of just wearing my prescription glasses. But when the angle grinder comes out I make no exception.
  20. The 2.3 Slaughter grids I've fitted 2 - 3 months ago is turning out to be the most expensive tyre yet. They're almost worn out - and once those sipes are fading the braking traction goes with it. The 2.3 now also come in the new softer gripton compound like the 2.6. I also have to run it at 2 bars to get it feel more supportive. Not sure if the softer compound affects the casing, but it certainly feels that way. Next up will be aggressors - maxxis at least gave me good mileage.
  21. Just get a new tire man, you've been complaining about that butcher since you got that bike.
  22. New Bronson is also a bit of a porker. You'd have to go XO1 build to get it anywhere close to 13 kg, or run 2.0" renegades to get it below 13 kg. It's almost as if in the last two years every new bike has gotten heavier and heavier. I see this on Alu frames as well. The only bikes that seem to not follow that trend is Scott.
  23. Yet, just the tip is needed.
  24. Another thing I've noticed; Strive CF 5.0 is 15.6 kg. Dafuq is happening to bikes lately. Almost every new bike is 0.5 - 1 kg heavier than it's predecessor. Is this all thanks to that stupid NX cassette, or cheap-ass carbon being used?
  25. Somehow I have to agree. If you're going to complicate the bike with the shapeshifter, at least do it properly to allow best of both worlds. 65 - 67 HA would've been nice.
