  1. That's how you actually get jacked. Bulk for 20 years, then cut.
  2. I've seen way too many forums die out due to certain changes and people opting for facebook rather. Classified sections generally drive the forum visits and account for the majority of traffic. The rest that participate here on the forum is probably too small, and won't keep it afloat if the classifieds die out.
  3. My cat does exactly this with his chicken toy. Gonna have to find a toypom or a pug for him.
  4. Yeah, there was a few good saws on fb recently. Delta, Wadkin and some cheaper ones. Gumtree also brings up a few bargains; https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-power-tools/durbanville/10-34-table-saw-for-sale-+-toolmate/1006998154930910367090009 https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-industrial-machinery/mitchell-s-plain/table-saw/1006985652790911555670309
  5. Be careful if it's made of synthetic material. We lost our one dog due to the polyester fibers causing internal bleeding. It wasn't pretty.
  6. I'm weighing up Minimax s400p vs Laguna 18bx. The minimax is obviously the better machine, but it's about a domino machine more expensive, which begs the question is the other one good enough or noticeably less gooder?
  7. Anyone here have good knowledge and experience with bandsaws?
  8. It's a made in England version, so probably 1970s onwards i.t.o age, so definitely no collectors value there - no matter what some of these local sellers might tell you. Old doesn't mean collectible. If you're just buying it to work with then the max I'd pay for it is R400-500. You can then fit a new Veritas iron/blade rather and have a very decent work horse, although the standard blade will also do just fine. Just check for too much pitting due to rust on the blade that could affect the sharpened edge. I've an old 1913 USA type 4 No.7, but hardly ever use it. The No.6 is more versatile.
  9. I won't even acknowledge the message if someone just sends 'dibs'. State your intentions thoroughly with firm commitment. If I want something, I make a call and plan to get to the seller asap. I've scored tonnes of good deals, and most of them I got into my car to collect, or paid the person and arranged for the courier to collect. That way no one is left wondering what's going on and end up disappointed.
  10. If it's a fragrance ingredient plant, it's probably a Rose geranium plant, Pelargonium graveolens, or some other malva plant.
  11. At first it also looked like that to me, but that is the top facing part of the caliper, i.e. also away from the direction of the wheel's rotation on the front/fork. Looks like brake fluid could be the culprit.
  12. An upside down thudbuster will make for a better looking linkage fork.
  13. Scout now belongs in this thread;
  14. Santa cruz fan bois are like the apple fan bois of the bike world. They don't care if the new iphone only comes with gprs while other brands are already at 5G. beCaUSe sAnTa cRuZ iS BoUtiQue yOu KnoW.
  15. They should have liability insurance that cover the settlement or part thereof.
  16. Seen a few at Hardware centre. Toolcraft might also have stock. Otherwise try Amazon. They’re not cheap though.
  17. We have a weight loss challenge running at work as well. R 60 buy in, winner walks away with a nice lil bonus. I was in the lead until Thursday, until my colleague totally leapfrogged me - he has a lot more to lose unfortunately, so I don't think it's possible to lose 2.5 kg in 7 days in order to beat him. Unless I'm going on a liquid low cal diet, but my training is already suffering from the decrease in calorie intake.
  18. Yeah, and we’re mos renowned worldwide as the best run chasers.
  19. DIY carbon dh bike https://youtu.be/UWSePEV88tw
  20. Interesting that you mention that. I never consider rebound and tyre pressure, but I do prefer the way the bike's suspension feel when I run higher pressure. Just clicked now. Running 23/30. Have run 20/23 in the past and no issues, but then again I way ~72-75.
  21. I'm more impressed an Audi lasted long enough to reach that speed without breaking along the way.
  22. Been in that position before. I was standing in front of the mamba, about 2 m away from it. Then I just heard a loud bang, and your natural instinct is to sort of to duck to take cover. I look towards my friend who decided to fire at it with the shotgun. I look back at the mamba which was now coming at me like that. It's not easy crapping yourself twice, running backwards with your legs spread out as wide as possible with feet in the air dodging a crazy mamba.
  23. Hey man, pls pm me the price you had in mind. Can’t make promises as I’ve got a lot expenses with building, but hey...you never know!
  24. Yeti riders must be getting pretty anxious.
