  1. So true. Complete cyclist has had a couple of bad remarks on the hub. Generally speaking , I wouldn't take my bikes there just on word of mouth.
  2. Anybody know where I can find results for this event?
  3. Hey? No knife, scissors, nail clipper, lighter, side cutters, sheers, file, screw driver, butter knife etc???? Yikes
  4. Almost unbelievable but believable in this day and age. U must be pissed off!! I'm pissed off just reading about it. A person works so hard to get something the honest way then u get some undeserved asshole doing that. Sorry to hear, lets hope he falls and his handle bar impales him.
  5. Agree with you. Even if KE & DG did not have mechanical issues in the 2 stages, they were always going to be second. Stauser just too powerful this year.
  6. LoL. Looks like a old Suid Afrika umbrella in the background but probably a Rabobank umbrella...although they are on farm land
  7. Way slow. Couldnt even get on the site yesterday.

    DNF at Epic

Had that bug for 7 days, only came right yesturday... its no fun. Sorry to hear about that.
  9. Where do you guys normally go ride to?
  10. Wow what a race. KE & DG are within striking distance of taking 2nd place now on overall GC...Amazing
  11. Actually I think we would all like to know. I earn +- R28,000 after deductions. So lets hear it, what do these guys earn? Doesn't have to be precise.
  12. I usually sling it over my shoulder and can still put in a good ride...WANKERS
  13. So in conclusion, can we please get a support group of 15 - 20 topless ladies(cup C-D, ages 25- 35)for next year at same point doing the mexican wave as the groups come past. Your support (no hands involved) will not only bring dropped jaws and eyes popping out of their sockets but will also give us guys and maybe a few girls rejuvinated energy to the finish. To qualify send topless pics to...
  14. Must say now that I have seen the pictures it doesn't seem so bad but before that I was a little concerned.
  15. What about the discs themselves? Try cleaning them with engine cleaner and wash off with water. Clean my chain, cluster and discs with it. Cleans really well and stops on a dime.
  16. I see this alot at Northern Farms every time I ride there, You come down the Jeep track around the corner doing like 40 - 45km/h and as you come around the corner here comes a family up the hill using both sides of the track. you gotto brake hard and come to almost a stop before their peanut brain realises and then they wait for family or friend to give them a gap so they can move back into line at 3km/h which takes even longer. Even on the straights where a person can see you coming from 100m away you have to vertually collide with them before they move out the right hand side track into their own track. Its simple people, I trust most of you passed your drivers...Keep left pass right DAMMIT. Hijack finished.
  17. Way freeky. TX now I have to go sleep

    CWC Service

You very lucky. Went in on Saturday to buy the misses a road bike. After trying to get a staff members attention who said he would be with me "now" and still waited another 10min we left the store. Not once in the 20min we were there did any staff member come to assist us. On the other side of the coin they did give me good service just before they opened their new store however, this last visit left a bitter taste in our mouths. If you going to be busy, make sure you have enough staff for the demand.
  19. This is true but only on the later models. This is probably mid to late 80's. Absolute classic. Only diff I see is who ever had it upgraded bits here and there. The rear derailer was the newer version 600 with the multi colour sticker later to become known as ultegra. Brakes and shifters are correct with what I predict is the year of manufacture.
  20. Actually, have a house in centurion and cape town and believe me, if you ever rode here, you would be off the back in no time. Cape town is flat compared to jozi. You might climb a mountain once or twice in CT but here we have hills that go on and on and on. A dual is like riding a fat chick, the constant wave of up and down while getting motion sickness while always wanting the excitement and responsiveness of a catherine zeta jones or a salma hayak.
  21. Thats such a load of.... Get a hard tail and ride it till your back breaks then go for soft tail. Unfortunately for R4K you not going to find anything worth while. Double that and buy yourself a good second hand bike that would have cost R15k new. Trust me, I bought a R12k bike new and a year later spent almost double that. When the bug bites u keep wanting to upgrade. Mmm what will santa bring me this Christmas?
