  1. Hey hey hey who you calling average?... 🤣
  2. https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-mountain-bikes/other/titan-racing-nitric-se-29er-e+bike/10011723947011013080359309 I have spoken to this gentleman, apparently selling for a friend who's location keeps changing. Now there's No charger no key. With the chats just so many red flags and now the price dropped considerably...
  3. Lekker morning out exploring new (to us) trails. Had to detour to Spice route for a beer 🍻😁
  4. A lot of these online "mega" stores just don't give a 💩. They will get back to you to a certain point and then just slowly disappear and hope you give up after sometime.
  5. I use a shifting spanner to grip the Allen to give it more leverage and control.
  6. I'll check at my workshop today or tomorrow. Had to clear space at home 😁
  7. Best thing to do or what I love to do. If they are upset and going nuts, blow them a kiss. I like the confused and scared look on their faces 😂🤣
  8. Think I have one will have a look and let you know.
  9. Maybe you are just lucky or they are unlucky but I have a bag full of XT and SLX 12spd derailleur pieces of derailleurs I have replaced for friends.
  10. This is true but on one you have slx or even xt and the other deore. Yes the one has one more gear where the 11spd would only have a 17t the 12spd will have a 15th and 18t something like that. Negative of 12spd : gears are so close together smallest change in cable tension and its welcome to the gear hunt. You have an extra gear on the same width freebody but the 50t is dished to make room, so your derailleur runs incredibly close to you spokes. I have seen many a 12spd derailleur in there trying to see which one is stronger. When it comes to replacing parts, chains, cassettes are all more expensive. And for the weight weenies where I think the whole 1x started with, the cheap 12spd weights little more than the rest of your bike. I have seen 12spd cassettes close to the weight of my frame. 11spd negative : Your not in "fashion" keeping with the trends.
  11. That's actually not bad I wanted a bike arranged a time with the seller and he let someone jump in. Within the first day it was back up with little over 10k price hike and it was back with different group and another 10+k hike. If only the final buyer knew if he paid the original price he could have fitted a new xx1 groupset with the difference 🤣
  12. I would also say 34 round. I used to like oval but found I am actually faster on round. I have some 32 and 34 6mm sram blades if you want to test.
  13. The Lakeside lunatic sounds like a good name for a serial killer. 😂
  14. Sent you a mail sounds like fun maybe I'll change my mind about e-bikes 😁
  15. So you are happy with a service which is often unsuccessful.... Man I wish I had cyclist for customers seems you are happy with sometimes good service 😂🤣
  16. I have so many bike shops around me. The time I have wasted with these clowns I could have gone to Evo, Janos would have sorted what ever I needed and it would be correct. PS: it's for this very reason I don't order bike parts online. Just to many cases of getting the wrong item and then having to deal with returning it and hoping the next one is correct or getting it at all.
  17. Definitely just him. Tried my first online order with them. The parts needed to be quoted not a problem they responded the next day and not too long after that I got the quote for the part's. Never having ordered online I wanted to confirm it would be everything I needed to fit (it was for a Hope cassette and freebody). Got a response saying I need the correct freebody to which I responded that is what I asked for and have been quoted on as there are 3 options Pro4, Pro2 or excluding. Quote shows cassette and Pro4. Asked again to confirm before I make the payment to which I got a very professional email just a J and his name at the bottom. I am sorry if they made a mistake on the quote I would not have minded if he said so but for a attitude like that they can go and play with something poisonous.
  18. It's more the hassle of sending something than just having someone collect it. The running around and having it packed, I just pay extra and postnet does that so "loosing" money just for convenience sake. Have to say most people I have sent things to have not rushed me.
  19. They are around R700 bucks new I bought 2 not that long ago. Geco Cycles has stock and sure Evo would also be able to help.
  20. Yeah looking at what you wanna do with it maybe consider the Scott rc
  21. It's really close gx/nx (scott) xt/slx (trek) The Scott's fork is a bit nicer Pike vs 35 gold debonair But I think the Trek is more trail bike than the Scott with adjustable geometry front and back and 150/140mm travel so depends on what you like to ride.
  22. Are you looking new or used? New I would look at the Silverback Stratos carbon or the Titan Cypher bikes are also really nicely specced for the price. Used at that price your options are quite vast. Just saw the new 2023 gen6 Trek fuel ex 7 is also 55k and looks sweet.
  23. Something like this that mount the 2 bottles next to each other.
  24. They do I can't remember if it was 30 or 40% of the value. They fit great and after a 40km crash mostly using his head to stop against a tree and riding away without any injuries I'd say they offer very good protection. 😁
