  1. Go Merida, Raleigh seem to dominate the market. Merida will be, in this respect, more unique.
  2. All witnesses experience things first-hand. However' date=' your statement is not very useful. Tell us what the problems were and what you think caused them. [/quote'] Hey Johan, that sounds like bicyle maintanence 101
  3. Buy an SRM, problem solved, oh there is the 20 grand price tag, unfortunately
  4. Nah shimano V's suck, the palleogram, (think that is spelt right), gets all screwed up in the mud and sticks up. Best V's on the market are Avid Single Digit Ultimate or if you have the money, Extralite ones.
  5. Hope Mini Mono Pro's, best brake on the market, the lighetst too.
  6. Italian, smashylin.. Just go buy a litespeed....sigh....
  7. Btw Litespeed rule.
  8. I am more of a cotton man myself
  9. the alu just looks scraped not dented so should be all right.
  10. okay so I inserted the whole page but you get the idea.
  11. No.9, but, in white with grey graphics.
  12. Maxxis Larsen Mimo's are your'e best all round option. Good on the dry and grippy in the wet, Brandon and Kevin thought they were good enough to win on ,so, I spose they are good enough for the rest of us.
  13. I live in Hilton, just above PMB, so I shall be at the side lines watching all the Liquigas riders big ring it up all the hills I have to granny.
  14. Ignore replies from Choice. This new Hubber replies with this amount on every post! Annoying indeed. Ja I noticed. Should we put it to the test then? Hey Choice? How much for your first-born? (Assuming you're allowed to breed.) He might have a problem there, hog, I am quite sure that there is a law against mamalian experimental breeding.
  15. Not sure if this will help Hog, but I went from a 18" goose to a 17" giant. My present Ti Hardtail is a 16.5". I am running a 410 mm thompson seatpost all the way out and a 120 mm easton stem at the front. I am very comfortable on the bike as it is, and, am finding the low frame perfect for singletrack as I am able to throw it around alot. Thats just me. You will obviously have to make your own decisions but I reckon a smaller mtb is allways a good thing.
  16. You will have no probs with a Giant mate, I went from a meteore, to a giant XTC then to my present bike. The bb clearence is much higher on the giant, thus, you will not gouge your 3rd chainring on every rock u find, the geometry is also very similar.
  17. Hey hog do you ride a Meteore, goose, that is?
  18. Just make sure you wipe it all off, it'll collect dust which'll turn into oily/dusty crud whick will, in turn, bugge ryour seals.
  19. 100 Km races? Nah mate I am a MTB racer. Dirt all the way. The 30 hour weeks are my pre-season base training, they last for +- 2 months. At most a normal mid year training week is about 1/2(ish) that. I am preping for the Mazda MTB marathon series.
  20. dude 12 hrs is fine! If you're a working man and get 12 hrs in thats more than enough! Just make sure it's the quality of training you do' date=' it's not always about the quantity...uhuh uhuh I worked all year mowing gardens, house sitting and selling my body,, that way, when I get to mid November I normally have enough money to finance myself through my base training. I am still reduced to the odd begging session though, when, I am broke and need a new saddle() or similar. Got to start varsity soon though, so, I will have to rethink my finacial stratergies for the year.
  21. Look guys this is just screwed up, who cares what cabling one uses and what housing to go with it. I am happy with my I link stuff. Its bling and I like it, this just seems to ba pointless aregument. It all works.
  22. The only crush I ever had with a girl, when cycling, was when my GF crashed in front of me on a descend that she insisted on going down first. It really hurt.
  23. I rode one around for a 2 days, very light and reponsive. Basically the same as any other high end carbon ht. Very good value for money at 35k, the fork is the only let down, not from a performance view but from the fact that one would imagine the bike to come with Fox's RLC not RL.
  24. and just to think that I started off asking wether Nokon or I-link was better..... Steven - At the begining of the year I was a mechanic at a reputable bike shop. I took apart plently of shimano shifters, both mtb and road. I never had any sort of warrantee troubles with the local rep and he would allow me to order the nessecray part if needed. This way our customers were riding within 2 days instead of two weeks. Again my 2c
