  1. Hey RC I hope you find your much loved companion, if you find the sod who did take him/her please castrate with a blunt machette. As far as I am concerned pet theft should be a capital offence.
  2. Check the dude's HRM out, must be worth ten times the bike
  3. Crow- the mezcal is a dry weather XC/Marathon tyre so you can't compare it to a nevegal in the first place. Its fine for its intended use but don't use it in the mud. Mud is right the Sugauro is a brill tyre, bit pricey though. I do all my general racing/training on Kenda Karma or Maxxis Larsen Mimo's,(for mud). For short track I use Maxxis's Oriflames/Mimo's and Klimax Lite for marathon racing
  4. Kenda's are super light but don't last long, race tyre only, wear the conti's out first.
  5. Toooooo much trouble and at 100 bucks + a set I'll just decorate the tree. I aplaud your effort though you must love your mum very much.
  6. I personally find hill intervals easier but the moment I hit a flat section in a rece I struggle, I thus flick between the 2 on a bi-weekly basis. Its simple really, find a steep climb or nice long flat road and ride up/along it until you hit 4 minutes or throw up all over your top tube, well which ever one comes first. I managed to get myself to the point where I started to see double and my nose startedto bleed, only done that twice though, pain un imagined etc. I am saving up for a PT but am still having second thoughts about parting with my 10 k on a hub, I mean the only real advantage that I can see is that with a PT your HR results aren't influenced by your diet, stress levels etc.
  7. No just press the link together and unclip, its just a knack. PS, they are compatible with Sram, Shimano and Campy. I have one on my campy chain and have had no probs.
  8. Sweet, that would be much appreciated Azonic.
  9. So long story short my chain broke and tore the the derailleur outa its hanger. Frame fixed up but still in need of the thread assembly for my derailleur. The part in question is not available through Sram, yet, and I don't really wanna buy a whole new derailleur for one piece. Anyone got a dead one lying around, will pay a few bucks if wanted.
  10. Bullets in the mailbox comes to mind
  11. A smelting works comes to mind
  12. A few years back a ran competively in fell running races around my area. It thus wasn't very hard to get back into it especially as I just ran on the road and not in the bush. I admit I only ran 15.8 km in an hour, once, 2 weeks a ago. Normally sat around 14 Kmph. The knee injury occurred whilst fell running I tore the tendon on the outer side of my right knee and damaged the cartilidge in my knee its self. This is why I initially gave up running my present injury was a light pull so I stopped walked home and hid my running shoes. I don't want to experience pain like that again.
  13. I have had a knee injury for a long time but decided 3 months ago to take up runing anyhow, got to the point where I was doing 15/16 Km per hour. Last week how ever my knee went "thoing" amd I swore loudly. No more running for me thanks I'll just go back to the gym.
  14. Sounds like a dodgy freehub to me or a worn drivetrain. Impossible to say with out seeing the bike however.
  15. Hey, maybe its all his budget allows. I don't suppose one buys a Suntour fork outa choice. Racer X2007-12-20 11:42:54
  16. Mate, your fork is sprung and is pretty much an entry level item. Take it to your LBS and get em to check it over. If you are riding alot it is probably time for an upgrade. Rockshox's Dart 3 is your best bet at about a grand. Alternativley post for a second hand one in your area so that you can have your LBS check it out for wear and tear.
  17. In the last 13 years of riding I have done the following: Bike > 3 Derailleur's > 1 Seatpost > 2 Saddles > 1 Frames > 1 Carbon Handle Bar > Few rims and a bout 15 spokes Me > Tendon damage to right knee > 145 Stithces > 1 Collarbone > 3 Fingers and 5 Toes, Chasing dogs and such > 6 Ribs > 2 Concussions Yeah... that's about it.
  18. stans is a rip off double the price of joes which work just fine
  19. 25 front is pushing it regardless of weather you ride tubeless or not, okay if you way 30 kg's its fine but otherwise a no no. You can run the tyre of the rim and damage the rim its self if you hit a rock at the wrong angle. I weigh a bit less than you and run both my karma's at 35 to 40 psi depending on the weather and terrain.
  20. Sounds like mine, I have just turned 19. 3 ways to get money outa father. 1- Beg, probably won't work. 2- Find some compromising pics of him and his secetary. 3- Mow the neighbours lawn and house sit for for a month.
  21. If you want to stop having kids go to a physician this seems a very painfull way of achieving the same goal.
  22. DT Swiss's XR1450 and Mavic's Crossmax SLR's as well as many others all come in at around 9 grand with a weight of between 1450 and 1550 grams.
