  1. The world's greatest waterman. Ever. It's easy to watch what he does and kind of get blase about it coz he seems to do it with such aparent ease. Don't be fooled tho. There's 2 skis and a boat covering his every move and there's a lot of physical, mental and equipment prep that goes into it. Stuff can go wrong but those guys know it's not a game. I do think they treat the ocean with the respect it deserves.
  2. SP1 is my dream bike. When I bought my CBR600 there was one in JHB for the same money as my CBR. Getting it here would have been a bit of a challenge so of course I bought the CBR. Whataretard.
  3. Might have to accidentally trip and buy a plane ticket to Portugal. All of a sudden any thoughts of not taking the vaccine have evaporated.
  4. There seems to be a cosmic link between dogs anuses and their owners ability to see. Dog gets exited. Dog takes a dump. This isn't exactly unprecedented behavior. And yet..... There's a little 60m path between baviaanskloof road and military road in HB. The amount of dog poo there is unbelievable. And there's a little bin with poo bags right there.
  5. There and pretty much the whole of the Constantia greenbelt. I checked under my shoes multiple times. Disgusting doesn't even begin to cover it.
  6. Went for an early morning hike in HB Then I went for a "hike" in my wetsuit to Sandy Bay We went for a little Greenbelter on the MTB's. First time on a mountain bike in maybe 6 months. My overriding impression of the whole day was an ASTOUNDING amount of dog poo everywhere. Really incredibly disgusting.
  7. I know that road well.
  8. Where is this?
  9. I've been incredibly happy in my spot here. My other half and I have finally decided to pull the pin and move in together permanently. It's getting a little annoying living out of a bag 4 nights a week and always forgetting something.
  10. Oooh. Unoccupied. My place is actually on the market TBH.
  11. My airbnb is free. Hint hint. I'll even throw in the use of my smart trainer so you okes can do the virtual Argus.
  12. I'm gonna be surfing the Dunes on that day. Aint no piggy gonna walk down the beach on that day.
  13. I typed about 4 replies and all of them had some sort of unavoidable sexual innuendo.
  14. I'll be branded a misogynist if I respond in kind.
  15. Can they rather do a Peleton class? At least the instructors are hot.
  16. I once bought a Rossi sticker for my helmet. The sun/moon one. Apart from being of amazingly inferior quality it was ridiculously expensive. My sticker paid for a handful of dirt at his training facility so I'm fine with it.
  17. Yissie I don't know. The brand that pulls it off tho is going to make bank. Big Time. Cyclists aren't scared to spend. IMO I should be able to buy a pair of nice (favorite cycling brand) boardshorts and a non dorky Tee. I'm wearing a pair of Ciovita riding shorts right now. If they could be a bit less scratchy they'd make a great pair of boardies. It is a bit of a branding thing. I want the world to know I'm a cyclist but I don't want to look like a cyclist. Does that make sense? And no. I don't want a lame ass tee that has "Life behind bars" written on it.
  18. Sorry to only be picking up on this now. I think cycling as a whole has missed a trick here. Why can't I buy a casual shirt and a pair of boardies in a cycling brand that isn't completely lame? The only brand that does this is Fox and that's because they sponsor some surfers. Surfing built multi billion dollar markets from casual wear.
  19. I saw Asics Gel Kayano 14's on Superbalist for R2199. Some retro shoes. The temptation is strong.
  20. I wish you could get ones with a 65cc motor out of a motocross bike running a midi size frame. Like "adult" karting but with bikes. To run on karting tracks. Here in CT the karting okes stopped the motard guys riding on their track coz they were creating braking ripples in the tar.
  21. I had one of those little bikes. Scary as fk coz they are fast but the brakes are more of a hint.
  22. I'm not really in a position to offer any sage advice but making massive wholesale changes seldom works. I'd chop one at a time. Starting with the sugary drinks.
  23. Just stress and being run down I guess. 2020 was a rough year. *Edit. Shingles is basically the adult version of the chickenpox virus. You have to have had chickenpox as a child to get shingles. Technically it is contagious but you have to touch the popped blisters with an open wound which is unlikely and the infected person will get chickenpox not shingles. It manifests as little blisters and then scabs (much like chickenpox). Generally it happens on one side of the body on your chest/under arm area. It can happen on your face and can cause permanent eye damage if it gets there. In my case it was on my neck and up into my hair behind my ears. Initially I thought it was an insect bite. It's unbelievably painful. It feels like someone is putting a cigarette out on your skin. It's caused by stress and/or having a compromised immune system.
  24. On my neck and into my hairline behind my ear. Not fun
  25. The worst was putting on a wetsuit with a hoodie. Fingers on a chalkboard * 10. When we were at SA's my bird dragged me out for a 5k run. That and the shingles and freezing water with a wetsuit and the weskus. It was.... Challenging.
