  1. She's looking a bit like she's trying to make it as a pro at pie eating
  2. I was in my bakkie. You were just HB side of camps bay. Big smile on your face.
  3. Legless at Killarney. Very frustrating but still a good time.
  4. I like to go look at Cass Colliers Facebook page. Makes me feel a lot better about my life choices. We used to be on team Zero wetsuits together.
  5. If any of you characters would like to share costs I have 2 memberships going begging
  6. Super happy. These are my new go to.
  7. First ride done in the Vye kit. It was a round the pointer. So about 80km and 1000m of climbing in a properly strong South Easter. This is going to sound odd but the wind somehow has a huge impact on arse comfort for me. I think coz it's harder to get into a rhythm and your flat riding into a solid SE is effectively a 2-3% climb. Anyway I can't fault the kit. I bought a Large which is a bit tighter than I'm used to seeing as I'm a bit of a fatass. The comfort from the bib given the conditions was great. My other half said my ass looks good in the kit so big plus points there.
  8. Yup. But a phased approach. He's got business responsibilities now with his bikepark He's still got lots of speed and clearly loves riding. He's got the whole vanlife thing down with the camper so there's no reason for him to not do the Euro Summer races. That's my call. But there's an 80% chance that I'm completely off.
  9. Their current effort can only be described as cursory. I don't see it TBH. I'm revising my earlier statement. I reckon he's going to be on a privateer program with some factory backing and some personal sponsors paying the bills.
  10. Danny will be an anchor rider for any team. The only team I can think of that are missing a top level guy right now is YT
  11. BUSTED!!! That top tube bag is CLEARLY empty.
  12. As far as I know you have to be a land owner with property along the railway line to get a permit. I'm talking specifically about the road between Dwarskersbos and Elands. I know nothing about the rest of the line. There was always a dirt road but it's been tarred and is perfectly good these days so there's no need to use the railway road anyway. Back in the day we'd use the railway road because it was a more direct route to elands and was typically in better condition than the public road. The last time we went up there they were busy resurfacing the tar road. That was July iirc.
  13. Short story you need a permit to be on those roads. They are on private property. I've been going up to Elands and Lamberts and as far up as Doringbaai to surf since 1988 and you've always needed to have a permit. Sometimes you get lucky but sometimes you don't There's 3 sections of railway road between dwarskersbos and Elands. They are all gated. Most of the time the gates are open. Sometimes the railway okes are working on the lines. They have stopped me before and asked me for my permit which I did not have. I was apologetic and they told me to get off the road at the next intersection. I got the feeling they were more annoyed at the amount of dust my bakkie was making rather than me illegally being on the road. The section between Elands and Lamberts is a bit of a grey area. Civilians do use the road but there's a "tollgate" on the road. Having said all of that I've never heard of anyone being arrested or anything like that. Just be friendly and apologetic if stopped.
  14. No don't get me into that! I've been obsessively watching wood splitting videos for the last 2 weeks after having successfully broken my addiction to RC rock crawling vids.
  15. Hahaha. Yes. My other analogy was about white powder and other such unpleasantries. The rugby one is more PC.
  16. My other half called me obsessed for the 2nd time in our relationship yesterday. The first time was when I was obsessing about the #enduro at jonkers. Lucky for me she didn't realize just how obsessed I ACTUALLY was. IMO it's great to be focused on these "trivial" things. Way better than focusing on the super 15 (or whatever the number is now) points board.
  17. Absolutely! Goggins is a madman. I do enjoy the fact that he's not some poser twerp like Dan Balls-erian and lives his mottos. Do something that sucks every day!

I've been watching a lot of Moto America. Most of the tracks look AMAZING!! Lot's of elevation change and sweeping corners. It's a great series and easily accessible on youtube. A good few saffers in there. Cam is the absolute class of the field in the stockers and he's also mixing it up in the Superbike class on his stocker. Matt Scholz one of the top boys in superbike.
  19. Holy FK! I was going to post on here that I'd run my first 12km on Saturday but I'll shut up now.
  20. Round the point. The wind was better and worse than expected. Somehow. I was a bit broken after a 12k run and a dh shuttle day yesterday tho.
  21. He's been riding dry and dusty hardpack bikeparks back home. He was never going to be up to speed for this. Better to just ride safe and come back swinging next year. The frenchies have had a full(ish) season of domestic racing so it's not a surprise to see them owning the show.
  22. Looks like Theo got a restart.
  23. Ja. The guy ahead of him also seemed to have similar issues. And now a bunch of DNF's. I think someone must have had a big crash.
