  1. No. Please enlighten me!! I definitely think I over pronate. I run in a pair of Adidas trail running shoes. I know zero about running shoes. I started running in December I've rolled the same ankle about 5 times now. It's really getting to me. Lungs are fine. Legs are now fine. It's just that same god damned ankle. I super suck at running but i actually enjoy it. I bought a proper ankle brace on the weekend. Not the glorified sock one. One of those lace up boys. I'm gonna go for a 5k flat run tomorrow morning and see how we go.
  2. I rolled my ankle AGAIN. this morning. It's always the same ankle. Gonna start running in an ankle brace this week. I bought one of those proper lace up boys today.
  3. And then bundled into the back of a cop van coz you missed the deadline coz you were trying to stop the bleeding from your multiple stab wounds. You'll get a criminal record but the oke who stabbed you's case will be thrown out of court due to lack of evidence even tho he has a knife with your blood on it.
  4. Today was supposed to be day 1 of Sani. My first "stage race" Who would have thunk it? Went for a little jog around HB this morning. So so so beautiful this time of year.
  5. Pft. No woman or women could ever come close to even an afternoon in that place.
  6. That's the bottom of my after work intervals loop. 760m with about 60m of climbing and a little bit of MTB to keep it interesting. Bash out as many as you can till the sun is gone.
  7. We were all set for 9 nights in the Pyrenees next month but then..... hopefully we'll be able to repurpose the tickets for Canaries in December. We went to Mallorca last year. I'm not done with that place yet. I actually can't pick a best road and i've not ridden any of the stuff south of Valdemossa. We went to Bassano 2 years ago to ride Monte Grappa. Highly recommended but OMG!! Monte Grappa. 27km and 1600m of climbing. And that was the easy ascent.
  8. That place is deff on the to do list. Pyrenees Morzine Canaries Morzine Mallorca Morzine Girona Morzine Wales Morzine Dolomites Morzine Aosta and Morzine Samoens and Morzine
  9. Where is that John? Girona?
  10. I'm not complaining. BUT! I've got a few mates in the city bowl and they can string together some incredible riding all inside the radius of treason.
  11. We should arrange a socially distanced meetup where our circles overlap. But we can't strava the meetup and we can just ride past each other and nod lest we get accused of being mates.
  12. The cutoff will be 9am. So some people will be arrested in their start pens. But look at the bright side. It's good motivation for a solid seeding and getting those training miles in.
  13. Watching Fauda and Bordertown on Netflix. IMO. Bordertown is actually better with the original Finnish soundtrack and English subtitles. You lose a bit of nuance with the generic yank dubbing. With Fauda we are only 3 episodes in but it doesn't look like a binary pro Israel anti Islam or visa versa series. If you're into doccies there's a free youtube channel called FreeDocumentary
  14. The frames are being made by BST. Those who know road motorcycles will know that BST make THE VERY BEST motorcycle wheels on the planet. And if you don't like the look of the Forged Marchesini wheels on your R400k Ducati you'll put BST's on. I think it's great that Pyga have teamed up with BST. Perfect match. Made in SA. Super high end. Well done to Pyga for being brave. Are they becoming the Bastion Bikes of MTB?
  15. This was definitely in the top 10 of my best ever days on this planet.
  16. Some good thoughts on cycling in a post Corona world
  17. That is very scary. Whilst all the amateur virologists, statisticians and economists try to outclever each other with their google skills on here.
  18. I think all of you are confusing the words exercise and sport. #se-mah-net. Having said that. The Supercross season is about to start up again in mid May. Albeit in one location (Arizona) over an abbreviated 3 week season with no spectators in attendance. So okes should be able to get their live sport fix.
  19. Should pop off to France and avoid all this lockdown malarkey.
  20. 2018 off piste. Video by Tttttoooooni.
  21. You had Tokai for 4 months of this year and 12 months of last year and how many times did you ride it?
  22. The government. Is this the same government that's been robbing us blind and destroying every single thing they come into contact with? That government? Thanks but I'd rather have the PPA put forward suggestions.
  23. I don't want to sound like the marketing manager for Wahoo here but for me a smart trainer is some of the best cycling money I've ever spent. My trips to France, A HRM, My smart trainer. Probably in that order. Fitness is the most important aspect of cycling. You can have skilz for days or the fanciest lightest gear in existence if you aren't fit it's all for nothing. We're all time pressed and if you don't have the time to ride a lot then you need to be as effective as possible with the time that you do have. My spinning and IDT have given me fitness gains but most importantly they have given me a bit of peace of mind. When I do a shuttle day it's fine coz I've done the work during the week. When I ride with my other half and she wants to arb along at 15kph and moan about work it's fine coz i've done the work during the week. If the SE is humping and we decide to just roll to Camps Bay for a coffee that's also fine. 25k for a new Kickr? Bargain. But sadly this is like a trip to the Alps. You have to experience it to understand and that takes a little leap of faith.
