  1. Given the weather prediction that might be the result. Even if the final does go down and even if Vali crashes she's already sent out a VERY loud message to all of her competitors.
  2. Good Lord. Did I read that right? Vali 14 seconds up! Edit. Ok Tracey bringing a bit of sanity. First year Elites and she's doing that!!
  3. Ja. R50 from 6-7pm. Apparently the really fast boys are there on a Thursday night. Better than a Zwift session that's for sure.
  4. Went round and round and round in circles last night. Always fun at Killarney. No pictures. I was in the red the whole time so no time for selfies. Lot's to learn about drafting and when to push/back off.
  5. I've heard that if you want to surf in the reserve you have to go in wearing a blindfold. Even the driver of the car. Which explains the lack of crowds I guess.
  6. The mrs and I rode past the entrance on Sunday and we remarked that we were maybe messing up by not popping in there.
  7. No there are no good waves in the reserve. I know for a fact there are none at Black Rocks and Platboom. I'm also 100% sure that you won't find good waves on the Ollifant's bos road. Just before Olifant's bos. I'm also 100% sure that when there's a huge westerly swell that you won't find a world class right hander at Buffels. Also if you are a wind surfer you most certainly won't find good sailing at Platboom. Especially in a South Easter.
  8. Right now is the best time to ride in the reserve. With all the tour busses not operating it's AMAZING in there right now.
  9. So nice!
  10. You should be fine. If you are running Zwift or Rouvy you can change the trainer difficulty setting if you are struggling with the heavier gradients. This doesn't actually make the cartoon climbs any easier. It basically has the effect of giving you a wider gear ratio. If you are doing workouts (Zwift has really cool training programs) then your gear ratios mean nothing coz the power is the power. Having said that 6% on Zwift does not feel like 6% in real life. Aint no way I can push the big ring on a 6% climb in real life.
  11. Cabal is a local company
  12. Does that Cabal make you fizz? 50k buys you a VERY nice bike. IMO there's no need to trawl the classifieds for a 2nd hander. 50k for that swanky spray job and carbon wheels. Shu. I'm not sure you could do better for the money. I see them around but they are not exactly a common sight. I've not ridden one but from what I understand the bikes are open mold frames. So basically there's a factory in the east that manufactures frames and a bike brand (in this case Cabal) essentially picks the frame out of a catalog. That aero frame has the look of a BMC time machine to me. I don't think you'll feel embarrassed pulling up at bootleggers with one of those badboys. For 50k you're getting a Spez Tarmac with 105 and no carbon wheels. Or a Scott Addict Disc with Ultegra but sans carbon wheels. Brand new. TickVery few on the road. TickSwish spray job. TickCarbon wheels. TickThe only downside I see is no disc brakes but that's not a huge downside IMO.
  13. OK order placed. Let's see what's what. If they are any good I'll order a pair or 2 of trail shorts.
  14. SA Team. Tayho Garlicke Sharjah Greg Nic Velasco
  15. She walked her dog on the beach.
  16. Please tell that one oke in your team that the thing on his head is a helmet and not a yamaka.
  17. I love the way JA rides. In the words of LA. That guy is a FKIN BIKE RACER!
  18. I am quite possibly the k@kkest runner on planet earth so take this from whence it comes. My fiance and I started doing park runs in January as a bit of a laugh. Initially we REALLY struggled with leg, ankle, hip, knee etc pain. Coming from just riding a bike was a very painful experience. If you are looking at taking up running I'd take it super chilled getting into it. Your lungs, heart and legs are fine but that's not the full picture. On the bike (especially a road bike) the structure is holding you in place so you lose a lot of muscle function from those stabilization muscles around your joints. And those are the boys that hurt like a motherfer. Gradually that changes. I'm still super kuk and slow but I really enjoy it and we're running about 20km a week now. It's a great workout and you can obliterate yourself in an hour quite easily. *Edit. My one colleague started running during lockdown from doing absolutely nothing. First run was around 10.00 per km. He's now running 5km 4 times a week at around 5.30 per km.
  19. Yeah it's pretty early for snow that's for sure. Long range weather prediction is for some A LOT OF rain. The question is who's been training and who's been throwing whips in the bikepark? I'm calling Danny Hart for the win. In the ladies Nina Hoffman. It will be checkers or wreckers for her but that's the nature of Worlds anyway.
  20. I had a similar issue on my work machine which prompted me to by my own computer for cycling apps. I think your problem might be .net framework related. Try going in to Windows Features and untick .net framework 3.5 I'm assuming you have 4.8 installed. I know it's not supposed to be this complicated.
  21. Celeste is blue
  22. Heal up fella. You're an inspiration to many.
  23. Haha. Flip this morning was amazing. Overcast. No wind.
