  1. Got some today
  2. No surfers. Long Beach is the furthermost South you can go on the peninsula
  3. That's in the reserve. The only people in there are the surfers and cyclists.
  4. Get one of these too. Or something similar. You just plug it in to the usb port and done. I've got a usb splitter on my thing coz I have a HD and mouse connected too. https://www.takealot.com/volkano-control-series-smart-tv-remote-control/PLID54854452
  5. I love the look of TT Frames myself There's a lady I see from time to time (I think she's a Savage) who rides a Swift TT frame with normal drop bars etc. But she looks AMAZING on the bike. Tall and skinny with a slammed front end. If I tried that I wouldn't be able to breath with my gut hitting my knees all the time and my back would demand a transplant to a less demanding person.
  6. Slater is 48.
  7. Good shorts are #1. You can get reptilia shorts from Enjoy for R585 if you aren't too fussy about the color. I have a pair in black and they are the best riding shorts I've ever owned. Great cut. just the right amount of stretch. Yes they don't have the cache of TLD or Fox but they are great and I'll buy more. No liner tho but that's what your old bibs are for right? https://enjoy.cc/product-category/mens/ride/shorts-bibshorts/ The ciovita ones are also nice but are around R1300. But a really nice pair of riding shorts. I reckon you can even wear them casually and not feel like a total turd.
  8. I tried Fulgaz. The reason I abandoned it almost immediately is coz the power readings were way off. I was kaaaaaaking. Probably pushing out 400w and the Fulgaz was saying I was doing 150w. And the video I was on (Luz Ardiden) kept jumping and pausing. It's highly likely the issue was more a function of my trainer/network that the ap. My pain cave isn't right next to the router and I do sometimes experience slow connection. I enjoyed Rouvy for a long time before switching to Zwift. The only reason I switched to zwift in the first place was coz my Sani partner was insistent that Zwift is the be all for training and anything else is just pushing pedals in front of a tv. I agree with most of your assessments. Rouvy is definitely not perfect and does seem a little scattered. But I don't think any of them are perfect TBH. When it comes to the subscriptions I prefer to go month by month. That way I'm not married to a specific app and I can bounce between them for roughly the same mount of $ each month. The only downside is it will take longer to get the tron bike.
  9. Wow. Nice for you. I think I'm going to can my Zwift subscription this week. I enjoy the structured workouts but the cartoon aspect and the same old same old visuals have me watching youtubes while I do the workouts. I enjoy Rouvy. Somehow the POV views and setting a virtual rabbit to chase allows me to go harder. But Summer is coming, I've got nice new carbon wheels and Suikerbossie is 300m from my front door so maybe a little more IRL with the freebie version of RGT for when it rains will be my go to.
  10. It's pretty much a tablet but you use the TV as the screen. Load apps from the playstore or you can skollie load apps from the internet. Most will come with some stuff like the M-Net app pre loaded and pretty much all will have netflix pre loaded. I even run Rouvy on mine. Well. not anymore but I can.
  11. Someone knows his surfing trivia
  12. There's a place up the west coast that the gut sliders have made their own called Tand. OH....MY......GOODNESSSSS!!!!!
  13. Red Bull did a thing recently on surfing in SA. Frankie and his son getting PROPERLY barreled at (not so secret spot in front of the caravan park) in Scotborough and Happy Wanderers. I still think the KZN South Coast has some of the best unexploited surf on the planet. We all want to go on a boat in Indo but the there are gems right here.
  14. If you buy one of those you won't have a problem with your wife hating your cycling anymore. She'll definitely leave.
  15. If it's not in Zwift is it even real?
  16. I don't think we should discriminate here.
  17. Kneelo. Same Session.
  18. Watch my bru. A team like that doesn't get caught with it's pants down. The more things change the more they stay the same.
  19. GENIUS!! If it had Lezyne written on it it would cost R900 and people would be using words like kinematics and game changer to describe it!

    MotoGP

Trick question. When last did the Tech3 team win at the highest level? Remember they've had former WSBK champions Ben Spies, Colin Edwards and James Toseland as well as a few real hot prospects riding their bikes so they have always been a good team.
  21. Me at Elands a few weeks ago.
  22. My spinning studio has that view. Except...... It's real.
  23. Some people have been on it with spades in the past few weeks. But a little maintenance couldn't hurt. The DH boys will have your nuts if you go anywhere near the race line with a spade tho.
  24. We were there yesterday arvo. So much fun.
  25. Ja. R92. but you have to have an ID or drivers license on you. The lady at the gate won't accept your accent as proof of being a South African. It's R300+ if you are a non south african We ride into the reserve a few times a year and there's always 3 busses in your view no matter what. But yesterday was amazing. It has to rate in one of my all time top 10 rides.
