  1. That's the only nice picture you've dropped in the last 2 days.
  2. We try to route it that the out run is on lit roads and on the way back there should be enough light to see. Unfortunately the amount of non functioning lights in the area is rising at an alarming rate. We are also routinely getting out earlier (around 6.30) at the moment which means our runs are almost entirely in the dark. I guess headlamps are going on the shopping list. I have to say. Riding in the dark I DO NOT ENJOY AT ALL. I feel super vulnerable. Even with 1600 lumens on the front of my bike and a rear light that lights up more than a brothel. Running in the dark feels fine and being out at that time of day really is incredible.
  3. Thanks. I've not used a headlamp before so this is helpful. I guess I'm going to have to sort out a headlamp or 2. The reason I'm angling towards the gopro shoulder mount is coz our cycling lights are gopro mount compatible. Pretty much all of our runs at least start in the dark. Don't laugh. Currently I'm zip tying a 500 lumen light to the shoulder strap of a small hydration pack. I also put my rear light from my bike on my pack.
  4. question time. I do most of my shuffling early in the morning. I've zip tied a light to my little hydration pack but I see I can get a gopro shoulder mount (my light uses a gopro fitting) Do any of you run with lights? Looking for something that doesn't go onto my head.
  5. Hey. Yes you should have done an ftp test. You can do one any time and the plan will adjust itself to your ftp
  6. That's so interesting! It turns out that's the town where the Schengen agreement was signed. I did not know that.
  7. I've not owned Cura's but I have ridden them. I've owned 3 sets of Hope brakes. My mate has a pair of Cura 2's on his DH bike. I had a run on the bike in France and I was shocked at the stopping power of them. Even on long alpine descents. No fade. Immense power. I've never ridden more powerful brakes. And that includes Shimano Saint, Hope V2 and Hope M4's. Of course at the time I chose to buy TRP Slates which are 100% total crap. If I was in the market for aftermarket brakes my shopping list would have Cura 2 at the top of the list. The Cura 4's must be like riding into a wall every time you pull the lever.
  8. They should just have lots of #notarace's. The riders are already there. Pick a track and go #notrace it
  9. Sorry. I can't with dirty bar tape. No man. Just get black if you can't keep the light colors clean. SIES!!
  10. NONE!! Absolutely loving them thanks. My fiance got herself a pair of Gel Nimbus 22's from the same shop.
  11. This is kind of where I find myself. the 1.5-2.5 zone is easily achievable without feeling dead the next morning. Thanks for the insights.
  12. Ok let me issue the following disclaimer. I ain't no athlete. More of a way below average joe who likes to do a little sweating. Currently the running is taking preference. Maybe it's coz it's the new shiny thing. Before LD I would do 2 spinning classes during the week and that provided the intensity. Currently the running is doing that. I'm really kuk at it so all running is at a high intensity for me I don't do free riding in zwift. I'm on a program but there's no way I'd be able to maintain the high intensity sessions in zwift as well as get up at 5.30 the next morning to run. So I've lied to zwift and dropped my ftp in the program to still do the "miles" but at a lower intensity. Indeed. I aspire to being called a jogger. I'm more of a shuffler at the moment. Sorry for all the stupid questions. The last time i did any running my first name was Troep.
  13. If I may ask a question from the knowers? I'm currently running around 18 km a week. 2*5k during the week and an 8k on the weekend. I know that's mikey mouse. The running really really takes it out of me but I am loving it and I have no intention of stopping. My concern is around my cycling. I do a bit of IDT work on Zwift during the week. What I've done is drop my FTP on zwift for my workouts so I'm effectively training at a lower intensity in Zwift. My HR still gets into the red but I'm not killing myself. Do you peeps think I'm negatively affecting my cycling by doing this? Am I wasting my time? Should I just can the IDT sessions? I really can't see myself training any harder at this point and I'm happy to be in a maintenance phase with the cycling at the moment.
  14. That new climb trail is proper class and soon it will have lots of coverage. I'm the same with Never Ending.
  15. Even when you say go to **** shop and buy ***** it doesn't work coz some ken alles salesman will try sell her something completely different. Or she'll walk out in frustration coz they were more interested in Tik Tok than making sales.
  16. I've seen a design that is basically a super sized skateboard. You mount the trucks to a piece of plywood (Think giant skateboard) and you run the trucks inside a set of simple wooden rails with stoppers. This gives the side to side motion and the back and forth motion.
  17. Note to self. Never make friends with anyone named Robbie
  18. Went for a little jog this morning. Lots of runners and riders out. Very cool to see. I think the approaching lockdown level 5 storm rapidly approaching might have had something to do with it.
  19. Ok I can't hold it in anymore. Theo Erlangsen has been invited to Red Bull Hardline. He sent me a screenshot of the email from Rob Warner. I'm a huge Theo fan. And this invite is well deserved in my opinion.
  20. I wonder what the TCR disc weighs in at. the top end one supposedly comes in at 6.5kg but thats $11000.
  21. No points for guessing who took my pic. hehe
  22. Bit o this on Saturday.
  23. OMG!! Ok then my issue was luxurious. I gapped into the bushes next to the 12 apostles hotel. A fast running stream and a pair of cheap socks provided all the comforts of home. Thanks for allowing me to share my trauma without judgement. They say champions are made on the tough days.
