  1. Oooh folks we have ourselves a bad ass here.
  2. I have enjoyed the new bonds but they seem lost in the world of Jason Bourne, MI etc franchises that have had the jump on Bond recently. That being said Bond needs to get back to what worked and that formula included a Hero that is not the least bit concerned with what is WOKE.
  3. Its not that, the modern day politically correct world cannot allow a Roger Moore type character to pomp his way around the world whilst throwing bad guys to the sharks then chirping a classic one liner. Like this Bond: “Who are you?” Pussy: “My name is Pussy Galore.” Bond: “I must be dreaming.” or Tiger Tanaka: “Rule number two; in Japan, men come first, women come second.” Bond: “I just might retire here.” or Bond: “I was wrong about you.” Christmas Jones: “Yeah, how so?” Bond: “I thought Christmas only comes once a year.” or Never Say Never Again Fatima Blush: “Oh, how reckless of me. I made you all wet.” Bond: “Yes, but my martini is still dry. My name is James.”
  4. Very good film, one of the best ive seen in a few years. Oh and it goes ike This 1. Connery 2. Moore 3. Brosnan Craig is way to serious, Bond has never taken himself seriously.
  5. I want him to do it, as Shaper above said it will break the mental barrier and like the 4 min mile in 10 years become a common occurence.

  11. Yes WH 1000xm3. Fantastic piece of kit
  12. Just got the Sonys Wx 1000h Why have i waited so long to get these puppies, my word they brilliant.
  13. Yes they are impressive at one dicipline but the dont have much in terms of skill , speed, , agility, endurance etc but i get your point i suppose there is more to it than meets the eye. My bad to all weighlifters out there.
  14. I agree they are the strongest human beings on earth but i didnt include them as i dont consider weightlifting to be a overall athletic As i stated my idea of the Ultimate Ahtlete is one that combines the best combination of strength, speed, cardio, flexibility, dicipline, agility , fitness, mental toughness etc. Weighlifters are strong as hell but they can only lift, they cant do much else, hence not very athletic. But perhaps i am wrong in this regard but this is my take.
  15. I would say the fittest "Cardio athletes in the world are" Cross country Skiers Iron man Athletes Boxers Footballers Cyclists Ultra Marathon and Marathon Runners I would say the stongest athletes in the world are (when i say strong i mean real world strength not muscle bound posuers" Rugby/Grid iron football Boxers/MMA Wrestlers (not wwf olympic style) Ice Hockey Overall to me the Ultimate Ahtlete that combines the best combination of strength, speed, cardio, flexibility, dicipline, agility , fitness, mental toughness etc is without a doubt BOXING Boxing is the toughest sport on the planet and unfortunatley the most dangerous as well. I do do crossfit and i dont consider it a sport but the guys that compete at crossfit are bloody impressive athletes in their own right, the problem is they not very good at one dicipline.
  16. This is the best race in SA unfortunatley its become a tad to expensive to justify these days. Its a pity as i really love this event. But at R17k for 2 days of riding its not worth it.
  17. Did the warthog loop last friday. About 39km and 1100mm climbing. Great ride, but im sure most of it was Welvenpas white route? Either way a brilliant day out, trails where lovely and the beer and pasta afterwards was superb.
  18. Wet Winter? Been living here for 18 years never seen or heard of this so called Wet winter. , the wind on the other hand does drive me batty.
  19. On the more budget side i have owned a pair of skullcandy Hesh2 wireless for 3 years now. For R1800 they great, sounds brilliant the noise cancelling is excellent only issue is after about 4-5 hours i find my ears start getting hot. But for the price they brilliant and very well made. Not on the same level as the Bose and Sony but they not much worse and they basically 3 x cheaper.
  20. As it is a niche brand and a very popular one at that as the Jeffsy won trail bike of the year 2 years running, it seems as if the US market will swallow up all stock, then the Europeans will consume the rest. doesnt look like YT will be a SA brand this year unfortunatley. They may as well pack it in before they do more damage to a new brand.
  21. I wanted one couldnt get any clear answers about much from the local dealers. So i moved on. No service is unacceptable when one is planning on dropping R50k plus on a cycle. They need to seriously either wake up and get their house in order or close shop as the brand deserves better.
  22. Just did my First U This weekend. WOW WOW WOW Trails: I'm not kidding when I say this, these are the best trails we have in SA, they are incredible. The route and topgraphy was mind blowing. Nice rough technical trails that had it all. I will never forget these trails it was a privilege to be healthy and able to ride trails like this. Proper MTb that makes it hard to do other races as these trails are so superior 10/10 for route. Race Village: Incredible location, comfortable tents, lots of chill area and a stunning setting. Also I must add the staff that manned the toilets, the bike wash, the tents and the village were brilliant. Always smiling, everything was cleaned, the place ran like clockwork. 10/10 for Village and staff The organisers had a tough call to make as winds were hectic on day 1, but they pulled through and a special mention for Rikus for the best pre-race briefing I've ever heard. Organisation 10/10 Here is the only BUT. The food! The food was very disappointing. After spending 5 hrs and climbed 1650m of brutal track one needs to eat and replenish. The food served was basically just broccoli salads, couscous salads and not much else. No meat dishes, no pasta, nothing with substance. Dinner was even worse. We got tiny portion sizes. Although the kitchen did their best the choice of food was wrong. We needed more variety and more substance, hard to do a stage race on rabbit food. Not asking of fancy food just more variety and more substantial meals. My only gripe I have about the event was the food. Food 3/10 In summary, THE U is simply the best race I've ever ridden, it is head and shoulders above any other stage race. Yes, it's expensive and exclusive but worth it. Only gripe was catering. Well done to all involved for providing a wonderful experience.
