  9. Case in point: Myself and a good few of my cycling buddies who used to enter every event available when we started out about 10 years ago (mainly MTB events in the western CApe). After a few years we dropped to one a month then a few a year. Nowdays if i enter 1 race a year its a lot. The novelty of events has passed me by and i way prefer the solitude of a few of us just hitting the trails, and the road on our own route and timetable.
  10. What time does the 60km start??
  11. Looks like a makro special
  12. WIll this mean the end of the normal one day race?

  14. I had both a HT and a DS. AFter 2 years of having both i realised every time i went for a ride I stared at both bikes and decided which one will i take today. AFter choosing the DS 9 times out of ten i eventually realised that i dont need a HT anymore. So i sold it. Modern DS bikes dont bob like earlier versions. ANd they much better downhill. Its great to learn skills on a HT as you need to choose lines and shift weight a lot more than sitting on a plush DS so aHT ups your skilss , then when you switch to a DS you can really rip a trail apart. So in the rocky Western Cape get a DS , if you live north of the Vaal a HT will probably be fine.
  15. Bought my WL set 2 weeks ago. My bike feels lighter and nippier. I have set many PB on climbs and the cornering ability of these wheels are insane. It's the best upgrade I have ever don. They roll so easily and they have such a wide contact patch that going downhill is very confidence inspiring. So chuffed I got them.
  16. Yip my unit is driving me abit batshit crazy i have to cover it with a towel and cushion to muffle the sound.
  17. I had a great "ride" but i wont be back i find these mainstream races have way to much traffic, prefer smaller races with limited numbers. The ST looked awesome but to much congestion couldnt really ride them like they deserved to be ridden.
  18. So whats the hubbers leaguie code so we can enter
  19. Amen to you mate. Brilliant idea good luck. Route profiles and a rating system of "tough, technical" eg 1 star for beginners to 5 stars experienced only etc etc
