Ok. So this has come a long while.

A fellow hubber (ill mention his name if I have his permission later on) gpt chatting about single speeds.

After hearing about my desire to own my own steed he went ahead and donated me a frame and sold me some second hand parts at an extremely reasonable price. The rest of the parts I needed I bought around the hub classifieds...

Today I got the pics of the frame paintjob thats done (same hubber, this guys is a legend)...

And I am flippen crazy excited!!!

Now Ilwe just need to get the frame in Durban and I can start building!!!

Its a "gloss black under matt with a red flip" I hope im quoting correctly. There a couple of skulls as well...

Right, I have been commuting on my new SS for the last 3 days, and am finding it quite hard going up the hills. I am riding with a 32:16 combo and the wheels are 29 inch. What combo's are other people riding with?

Are the hills steep mofo's or just hills?

Mofo's = 32x20t

Just hills = 32x18t

Ok, i need a set of 26 inch wheels to complete my build.

But it is bigger than a 15mm T/A on the front. Rear is 9mm QR.

Do you get such a thing as a 20mm T/a?

Any ideas?

Yip got a 20mm T/A front wheel lying around .

my gear ratio will be 32 18 for the mtb..eina

Yo cat ...26'er or 29'er SS build?

on a 26'er the 18t will be perfect ... on a 29'er it is doable, but you better be fit and strong..... and I am neither of these
