Octavian Posted September 21, 2012 Share Yeah, I wasn't allowed the controls - wise move - but I fly in one when they were based out Brakpan/Springs way. The pilot was a first officer for SAA and gave commentary in that deadpan and droll way some pilots do…"there's the horizon and there it goes again…at this point you may feel faint and passout…" I love how solid they feel when flying them. He only allowed me to take the controls on the back of my pilots licence. He first let me do some steep turns before allowing me to do a barrel roll. And I should add, that I have done an aerobatics rating. I don't think they would have allowed me otherwise.
