I was at the 2010/11 series in Oz and they (we) were doing it then too:

 

I think it started with "We get two dollars to the pound" or somewhere near that value and ended about five or six.

 

All good fun....

 

The comedian Adam Hills references it as the only time he's ever been heckled by an exchange rate. He was in England at the time.

This blew my mind. What kind of twat is walking along and thinks "ah there is a cop - think I'll kill him quickly then head over to the shelter for breakfast".

 

Planning a cop killing I can (broadly) understand but "just sommer" makes me scratch my head in confusion and sadness.

 

Edit: I guess he could have wanted to nick the cops gun....but still - a quick bullet to the head for a gun?
