Be PROUD, be VERY, very proud - to be an African, a South African and a Capetonian! The brand spanking new Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, in the old grain silos in the Waterfront, is absolutely stupendous! The architecture, and the way they used the old silos, created a sculpture in its own right. The art from all over Africa is something to be proud of and the way the whole thing was put together is as good as anything I have seen anywhere on earth! If you are at all interested in modern art, or you just have an open mind, GO! (I don't know about bike parking, but saw a nicely restored Hansom chained to the railings outside the front door.)

Edit: That's what I did to celebrate Heritage day, after I rode my bike yesterday!

This weekend was free (for Heritage day). The place was packed, and not just with your usual stereotypical arty crowd!

My contact told me that they are going to have free entries for part of every Wednesday.

Thanks! Team Slowbee's have next Wednesday off and we intend visiting during school holidays.

Are you going to be going to your farm during the holidays?

Hey, Gummi. I was in Lux this weekend.

Gorgeous little place! A shame that it took me more than two years to actually do a trip to there.

Things look really well run and it doesn't have that griminess that Belgium sometimes has.

it's all that dodgy tax evasion money from all over the world flowing through Lux bru. Got to be good for something... :whistling:

We went on Saturday, and it was amazing. I know jack about art, but none the less, it was extremely impressive. Even if you go just for the architecture, it's worth a visit.
