A case of your facts spoiling my ragged yarn?

it might have been her straw hat, left on the shore with her towel when she went for a swim, wind then comes along and blows it into the water.

???????? I imagine there must have been a few around during your surfing-dive-windsurfing adventures.  I saw a few while surfing Transkei and Slummies and Seal Point, J Bay just one sighting.  Spent most of a year just surfing our coast and was often first in the water.  How glad was I when Californian Ward Walkup hit Seal Point before me and was chased back by an inquisitive beast of a specimen.

I suspect it may have been a bit of (wait) out of mind out of sight for you. ????

pfft facts. who needs them?

Look I've spent a lot of time in the ocean - diving, surfing, windsurfing, etc. But there's something about Fish Hoek....

Maybe it was that lady who got chowed completely - never found even a bit of her.

facts. here they are of that incident ~6200 days ago

and the more recent one, ~4300 days ago

Only two recorded fatalities at fish hoek.

FAR fewer fatalities than in Main Road going through Fish Hoek I guess.

orders of magnitudes more dangerous.

just because it is so comical, here is the JAWS trailer.

and not surprisingly the author has massive regrets about its impact.

anyway, since this is supposed to be the fun thread. here is some shark humour. I'm pretty sure SHARKNADO was a pretty stupid idea, somehow they are up to #5. evidence that clearly something is wrong with the world.

There’s a lot wrong in this pic:

top tube against pole
bike stand
small chain ring

at least it’s facing the way it’s going, or is it?
